My rig:
- CPU: Intel Core i7 10th Gen 10700KF Comet Lake 3.80GHz (5.10GHz Turbo Boost) 8-Core 16-Thread
- GPU: GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB (Brand May Vary)
- Motherboard Chipset: Intel Z490
- RAM: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x8GB), I added another 8 or 16gd - not sure of the make but can look if needed.
- SSD: 1TB Intel 670P M.2 NVMe SSD
- CPU Cooler: RGB AIO 240MM Liquid Cooling (Brand May Vary)
- PSU: 850W 80 Plus Gold PSU
- Monitor a 72inch lg c3 oled
So January 2022 i bought this prebuilt PC with a 3080ti gpu and had no issues using it on the lg oled tv listed above. About 1 month ago while playing a video game, the display went black and i have never gotten the gpu to have a working display again.
I have tried new power supply, new cables, different monitors, problem gpu in a different pc- didnt help. I borrowed a lesser video card from a friend and it works fine with the system above, so i figured the gpu was bad, and sent it back to evga, who i received a replacement with yesterday. Different serial number, but the same evga 3080 ti gpu.
To my great disappointment the new replacement gpu is also not showing a display on the system above or another pc, or a different monitor that i tried it in.. My system above is working fine with a lesser gpu and still wont have display on the 3080ti replacement.
The lesser gpu only needs 1 power cord from the power supply vs 3 cords with the 3080ti. I tried all 3 power cords separately in the lesser gpu and it worked fine every time. The same 3 powercords in the 3080ti has the lights on, the fans running, but still no display. Ived tried hdmi and display port. no luck.
Not sure what to do.. Should i send it back again? I have a ticket out to evga and awaiting response. Card is still under warranty for another 5 months.
Please help with any thoughts. Thankyou for your time.
