Glad to see him doing well and another bright chapter in his new found endeavors.

Will be looking out with who he ends up going with.  (I kinda hope its Asus's ROG line Or Intel! lol)

I think he'll end up with MSI or ASRock, but we'll just have to wait and see. I don't think ASUS would give him enough of a role/influence, so he probably wouldn't go that route. I think ASRock, from a motherboard perspective would be a great fit. They've been trying to move past the "budget" branding and get some more competitive high-end options, like the taichi series and they seem pretty good. The branding cooperation there could benefit them well. Also, if they want to have a bigger market for graphics cards, he could easily push that for them too. I'm hoping that's the way he goes, but whatever happens, I just hope it works out well for him (and us lol).

I look at the GPU area being one place he might be able to be pulled away from NVIDIA as they have been more focused on locking down the graphics cards more and more making massive overclocks harder. It would be interesting to see if maybe AMD would want to see what he could do with fully unlocked graphics cards. Then again maybe NVIDIA would want to have some really crushing benchmarks and hiring him but it kind of comes down to how much the cards cost.

Thanks for posting that link. Subscribed to the channel and looking forward to see what happens next with Vince. Where he goes may well determine where I buy from next, for both Z890 motherboard and 5000 series GPU (assuming he doesn't go to the red side). Would be kind of cool if he ended up working directly for NVidia along with Jacob, although NVidia is a HUGE company and would probably micromanage the heck out of him. Can't see that lasting very long.

Can't wait to buy another one of his cards. Hopefully he gets with someone soon. Looks like a dragon is on that wall. Maybe he is going to MSI.

I thought that too, but he also put the mortal kombat dragon logo on the video and was playing mortal kombat...seems to be a big fan of that so it may just be for that.

Seeing that wall with the EVGA logos get painted over was kind of bittersweet.

It is but I am happy for him since overclocking video cards is what I think of when I think of Kingpin.

Updated this thread with Gamer Nexus and Kingpin's interview.

I'm a bit surprised but it does look like Kingpin will be going with PNY.

Had no idea PNY was a US based company like EVGA.

My only question is, how is their quality of hardware and where does their warranty stand?

Well that's interesting. PNY haven't been known as a top tier player with their GPUs in the past, but maybe they're planning to up their game and fill the enthusiast spot EVGA has left open? Those are some some pretty big shoes to fill though - along with EVGA's top after-sale service. From what I can see on Reddit, they are going to have to make some big changes to improve their customer support.

Still, I welcome it, if they can pull it off. If they have Vince there working on design for enthusiast cards, I'll give them a shot. They are headquartered and do their assembly in Parsippany, New Jersey, not far from me in NYC. No base in Taiwan as far as I can see, so I wonder what that means for Vince as far as his location, if this is all true.

*edit - just watched the video with Gamers Nexus.. REALLY interesting video! Seems I repeated some of what they said. Looks like I might be going PNY with the 5000 series. :)

I'm also getting that feeling as well but system is already build, just need a new GPU....within budget that is. lol

From what I can tell, they aren't what EVGA once was in GPUs obviously but they sure seem to sell lots of other components EVGA wasn't in so they must be doing well in that aspect.

I need to see better aesthetics as I'm not a huge fan of their GPU designs and hope they can switch things up.

They also need to do something similar with their CS and warranties EVGA was known for.  There's a huge opportunity here.

As for Kingpin, I think he owns that studio.  He already has his own foundation as he could just convert and get to it like he once was.

Now I noticed along time ago when I was shopping for, a gpu or whatever, that PNY always came in at a lower price...(global statement based on seeing their name pop up).
Although temped I never tried them...
    AND...
I too have been watching Gamers Nexus help Asus fix it's self...
    Nice post GTXJackBauer!

It looks promising for Kingpin.  I just hope maybe they'd take some of his advise on maybe the rest of the regular line aesthetically speaking.  Heck, take it out of the EVGA playbook since they're on their way out.

The whole GN and Asus peaked my interest that's for sure.  I recall hearing of similar complaints in my last 10+ years so it sounds like they were doing the same sleezy tactics since then.  Glad he brought it up to their attention along with legal folks and the FTC(?).
