No, I had to manually upgrade Intel ME firmware from https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/downloads-for-motherboards/firmware-intel-me-h610-b660-h670-z690-b760-h770-z790/td-p/861318 which is vendor neutral Intel update file for Z790 platform.
 
Some user at ASUS forum is posting all current INTEL drivers/firmware https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/hardware-build-advice/index-all-my-drivers-firmware-software-threads/m-p/827232
 
New BIOS with 0x129 does not update Intel ME on motherboard.

Have there been any issues after you upgraded to the latest ME firmware? I'm worried about upgrading because evga hasn't officially released it and there might be compatibility issues.

Zero issues. Works fine.
