Not a complaint, simply a bemused comment.

My 1000w G2, which was the second EVGA that I had ever purchased for personal use, decided that it needed to head off to greener digital pastures.   The first PSU I bought from EVGA is still going strong, though has been relegated to a back up.   I have used probably a dozen or more power supplies from EVGA over the years and my many builds for friends and family and all of them have been rock solid, even when placed in abusive or careless households.    (They don't clean or care for the pc properly).

Not even upset.  Just wished I had done my due diligence and tested it before installing it, but I pulled it from a working system.   So... I dont know what happened there.     Time to get the RMA rolling.  Going to be spendy shipping this thing.

Okay.  Now I am confused.   When I was testing it last night, I was testing it while still in the case with the other cables hooked up.

Removed and retested with just the 24 pin and it works just fine...   Time to start checking the other connections.

EDIT:  VGA cable causing the issue.   Don't think it was one that I have disassembled for any reason.   But it's disassembled now.  Double checking wires and pins, then rebuild the cable, double checking that everything is where it needs to be.

Glad to hear that you figured it out, and please let us know if you should need a new cable?

Was there anything you did with the case recently? Sometimes it can be just working on something else and the cable gets tugged on. It's rare for a cable to just suddenly go bad.

As for PSU I think as we get into ones supplying more and more power it's likely we will see more failures.

Thanks Chris.  I have so many extra cables that I should check and see if you guys need any extra ones

Apparently I had messed with that VGA cable.   One of the wires with the +2 portion were going to the completely wrong locations, which means that another wire was also pinned incorrectly.   Not even going to speculate on how I did that.

Everything has be re-pinned, checked and double checked.   Time to reassemble this project and finally get it finished and running.

Great news - only a cable issue
