Hey, so im trying to hook up my 4 monitors, 3 with dp and one with hdmi, but in the Nvidia control panel i cant enable all of them.
all the monitors show up and works correctly, but i can only enable 3 at a time, so if i try to check off all of them one gets unchecked, like if there is a 3 monitor limit?
anybody know anything about this? ive tried searching online but cant find anything regarding this

What kind of monitors do you have?  I can run as many as I want as long as two don't try to use DSC.

I was met with weird issues first like Windows would tell me it couldn't save the monitor settings etc.  I have two LG ultragears (34')  one thats 3440x1440 HDR,   other 2560x1080 non hdr.   They're fine and I "previously" could run the g9 on as well as long as its on 120hz mode 8bit color and not 240hz 10bit.
However,  that being said before having my last replacement, at one point I did have all 4 monitors working.

    2020 Pandemic build.

that indeed was the issue, i change the g9 to 120hz on the screens menu and 120hz 8bit color in nvidia control panel and the 4th monitor got enabled. so i guess it just gotta be a choice if i want 240hz or the 4th monitor.., but anyway thanks for the help

You need to lower the screen settings.

I have the same issue but lowering refresh rates to 60hz and setting all monitors to 1080p I still can only get 3 of 4 monitors to turn on at any one time.

    So, fun addon,
    I'm running:
    3080 12g ftw3 ultra lhr
    1x 27in 4k 144hz HDR400 Gsync - running on dual 8k rated dp cables
    1x 32in 2k 144hz HDR off, Gsync - Single 8k rated dp cable
1x Oculus Rift CV1 on an HDMI cable

I go to don the Rift and the screens go black. Go turn off the 4k monitor and voila.

Does anyone know if there is a way other than an MST dongle? Something I need to enable that I'm missing? Or is it just the dual-dp borks any chance at VR?

I know I can drop the 4k down to 120 or 60 even but I just got the card and I'm trying to see what I can get squared away.

    Thanks!!!

    Hello,

I'm planning to connect an Eizo EV3285 4k monitor at 60hz to each of the three DP ports on the graphics card.

    That should work, right?

Could I then also connect a monitor to the HDMI port?

EVGA support referred me to the forum here :-)

    Best regards

You could run a 4k monitor off of each port if you wanted to including hdmi.

Per NVIDIA, there are some limitations for 30 Series graphics cards with regards to how many monitors you can use if it falls under the following conditions:

The maximum number of HDMI or DisplayPort displays that an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series or RTX 20-series GPU can drive at the same time may be limited to two displays under the following
    conditions:
    • When driving a Display Stream Compression (DSC) - capable DisplayPort or HDMI display where the horizontal resolution is greater than 5120 pixels or that requires high clock bandwidth; for example, 3840x2160 @ 160 Hz.
    • When driving a YCbCr 4:2:0 HDMI display where the horizontal resolution is greater than 5120 pixels or that requires high clock bandwidth; for example, 3840x2160 @ 160 Hz.

    Hi,

This being a little old thread and find it this out couple hours ago when trying to diagnose issue with 4 monitors and 3rd AOC not getting picture.
So. I have 1* Samsung Odyssey G9 49" and 3* AOC 24" monitors. Issue was to get the 4th monitor working with 2080ti graphics card. Samsung and 2* AOC was DP and 4th AOC was HDMI.
All monitors were max out on settings and just couldn't get 4th to work. I got it working by changing which three monitors to use, but not all at the same time.

I changed the refresh rate to 144hz for all AOC. Samsung monitor was the issue, since that one had 240hz. By dropping Samsung to 120hz from monitor menu and from the Nvidia Control Panel, issue went away.
Now I have 4 working monitors.

I found this already from the post above.
