I was really scratching my head as to why I kept crashing when launching the game. Thought it was nvidia drivers at first but my friends got past the initial junk just fine. Closing X1 allowed me to finally get past the screen flickers when Geforce Experience would pop up and play completely stable. I would like to keep using the software, but has anyone else had this issue? I closed Geforce Experience before attempting closing X1, and had the same issue, which is why I'm posting here. Using a 3080ti, and the last version before the 4090 update, assuming that wouldn't change anything.

If you had Precision loaded before you installed the 4090, I would suggest uninstalling precision, and then reinstalling it with the 4090 installed. If that doesn’t work, try out MSI afterburner, but be care because there are a lot of “Sponsored” google searches that absolutely are not MSI Afterburner.

bob16314 If you wanna try Afterburner or the standalone RivaTuner Statistics Server along with HWiNFO for OSD, see No EVGA Precision OSD?..Try HWiNFO and RivaTuner Statistics Server and see how it rolls.
Thank you for the instructions. I always wanted to try that. I couldn't get it to work with Precision Server and gave up. I should have checked that forum ages ago. Thanks again

You're welcome..And also note that you can run Precision and Afterburner/RTSS/HWiNFO at the same time, using Precision strictly for graphics card control (fan curve, overclocking, profiles, etc.) and Afterburner/RTSS/HWiNFO strictly for OSD.

Thank you all for all the help, it seems it was precision x1 server only, so I will follow that one link for some better monitoring, should have been doing that anyways. Glad I can keep using the software!

I was experiencing the same crashing at game launch. I simply turned off Precision’s OSD and it loaded fine.
