Nothing? It was their choice to spend their money. This is how the game always goes, it's always a bad idea/investment to buy high end when a product is nearing EoL. Nvidia has been on a 2 year release cadence for well over a decade at this point so buying a $2200 card a year and half into 30 series lifespan was never going to be a "wise" choice. Not if the user always wants the latest and greatest that is.

I can afford these things and more and I upgrade every generation (actually the amount of video cards I own is a bit ridiculous at this point). I have no pity for them because it was their choice to buy the things they bought. No one forced them, no one told them to spend their money. They did it of their own free will. They didn't ask to be judged when they bought it, I won't judge them now nor will I feel sorry for them. Also feeling bad for someone who bought a 3090Ti? That's like saying "aww poor guy and his Ferrari, I feel bad for him".

Putting emotions into business is a bad idea. Feeling bad for someone you aren't personally invested in, is also a waste of time. I have no regrets buying the 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra at launch and having to RMA it 3 times to get a working one (lol!). I don't expect air cooled cards to continue selling like they used to. A lot of people in a specific market have learned their lesson there. Supply glut is in play. Inventories are overloaded in all retail sectors. Intel and Nvidia have some serious thinking to do. AMD will dominate with their APU. Desktop PC's are on the way out. Low power consumption and efficiency is on the way in. If you're not actively engaged in buying and selling graphics cards in the market on a weekly/monthly basis, you would not understand how the margins have collapsed. I'm sure for tech companies (and any business really) margins are extremely tight right now. This is a brutal business cycle we (the planet) are experiencing from top to bottom. Expect more pain...?

3 times?! that's a story worthy to be told amigo :D I wanna know all details if you don't mind and kudos for EVGA amazing support on that one! when the 3090 Ti is going to hit round 750-900 maybe, it will sell all I guess, maybe due to few RTX 4000 series when it comes out? it will be a fun time to witness.

Timing is everything at this time of the year. I pulled the trigger on 8/4/22 at $1,357.99,.. next day the price dropped $200.00.  And I got a killer deal on Z690 Dark last week $474.99,..  Going to be interesting next few months, with Z790 & RTX 40 series releasing.

Seems to me, the comments are coming from those who have purchased a product. You more or less fit your own comment. What is happening now has NOT been the typical pattern of how EVGA has sold in the past. Some folks get a bit annoyed that a few days means you spent hundreds of dollars more when there was no indication of HUGE discounts and free shipping coming down the pipe. Folks comment on the topic. Others comment on others.
