Hey guys, I'm sure some of you don't browse the Einstein forums closely, but one of our teammates (Petri33) has updated the FGRPB1G Nvidia Linux application with significant performance optimizations. you might remember a similar post I made before about the v1.28 application performance improvements, and this new application is an extension of that. However, since these changes have not been ingested into the stock project applications, you will need to run anonymous platform to use these applications (that means using an app_info.xml file to define your own application). (also note that the v0.95 and v1.0 versioning is Petri's versions, not related to the v1.28 that the project uses)

At this time there is not a Windows version, as the FGRPB1G project is coming to an end and will run out of work in about 50 days at the current processing rate.

check the information and instructions in the master thread on the Einstein forums if you are interested in using this application.

please post in that thread for any help with getting configured to use this application. I'm much more active on that forum than here.

enjoy :)

Finally got around to trying this using my RTX 3060 Ti.

    Original application: Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1 on GPUs v1.28 () x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
    Completed in 234s (3m 54s)

    Optimized application v1.0
Completed in 166s (2m 46s) or 29% faster than original

Optimized application v1.0 with 2x concurrent tasks
Completed in 271s (4m 31s) or 18% better throughput than 1x optimized task
