So I was digging around in my spare parts and found some 'ol 9800gtx's. I thought hole crap! in the original boxes too! Then I started recalling the days using them and the Xp os. So I went and digged further for the XP disk. FOUND IT!!! thinking "I wanna install it" I found a drive and installed XP, without a hiccup mind you. I do have the G-cards drivers but the only problem is the mobo drivers. Any idea where I can find them?

What motherboard? You should be able to find all the drivers you need for your board on www.station-drivers.com

I thought that card was after Windows XP but I guess people still used Windows XP in like 2008 since Vista wasn't a hit and I can't recall if Windows 7 was out yet.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

Yea...7 was released in 2009 but I didn't jump aboard until 2011. So I used XP at launch untill 2011. Oh and I agree with your comment about Vista but Win 8 was a complete disaster.

it's in my sig. But Thanks! I'll go take a look.

All you have in your sig is x99 classy. I see you are talking about a 680i board as well. All motherboard drivers for both of those boards can be found here... https://www.evga.com/support/download/

Note: X99 classy drivers for xp can't be found on the evga website. The x99 classified manual also states that the board only supports windows 7 & 8.

I think the X99 won't work properly with Windows XP. There will be generic drivers available, but no usable chipset drivers. Stick with Windows 7 or higher with the X99.

In the business world we had a ton of clients that didn't want to move off of xp at all and recently the same thing with windows 7, a guy at my office was upgrading a client pc to windows 10 this past week from 7 lol.

.... The x99 classified manual also states that the board only supports windows 7 & 8.

To my neglect, I didn't even think about that. I was so in a frenzy about using XP again.

It depends on if your Windows XP is for a 64 bit, or 32 bit mother board, and if that board is 64 bit, or 32 bit, or both .
I have a board that supports both, and I dual boot Win Vista ( 32 bit ) and Win 10 ( 64 bit ) on it with no issues .
