Hello,
I have a 1600w titanium PSU which I've been using for a mining rig. I added a new GPU recently and did some rewiring. The PSU would try to turn on, I see some LEDs flash on components and the fan is about to spin, but it shuts off right after. I rewired everything again (GPUs, risers, etc), tried again and it won't turn on at all (No LEDs flashing and I don't even hear a relay sound). I unplugged everything and plugged the tester, same behavior. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot it, like a fuse check or similar?

Look like you’re gonna be outta luck since the unit won’t have any warranty.

“Any damages to the components, hardware and/or assembly of the Products including but not limited to damages caused as a result of neglect, abuse, accidents, misuse, or unusual physical, electrical or electromechanical stress (including due to uninterrupted use of the Products, or use of the Products for blockchain processing, cryptocurrency mining, or similar purposes).”

other than warranty, is there any common troubleshooting ideas I can try? I opened a PSU in the past but didn't find any fuses or burned components. Hopefully this one has something of that sort.

Also, it seems my CPU was shorted. I tried another power supply from Antec and it wouldn't turn on, I replaced the CPU and it worked fine. I had this Antec PSU over 10 years ago and I abused it way more than EVGA and it's still running. A bummer that this new one costs double and just dies when it detects a short circuit

When you say that you rewired it and rewired it again, there is no recommendation we can make. We can only assume that you rewired it incorrectly and used the wrong/incorrect wires in the process.
Without an extremely detailed list of everything you did and every product you used, there is nothing specific that we can conclude.

wiring was not the problem, it was a faulty CPU.

by rewiring, I was mainly referring to powering the risers off of molex cables, which i haven't tried before. When things didn't work, I switched up to powering them with sata instead. But those details are irrelevant because it turned out I had a faulty CPU.
I had a modern CPU on this machine, the AMD ryzen 5700g, which I thought was overkill for just mining. I switched it up with an old Athlon 200ge so I can save up the 5700g for a better task. Problem is the Athlon had some bent pins and I tried straightening them with tweezers. Things got shorted in the process it seems, or it could be electrostatic discharge as I was trying to straighten the pins.
