I have the EVGA X299 Micro mATX size mobo running an i7-7800X. To my great surprise the TPM chip is already built into the motherboard.
 
Nothing to buy. Just enable TPM in the BIOS and the Windows 11 Pre-release developers version installs without a problem.
 
So Thanks EVGA for doing it the right way and saving me the extra cost of a TPM Module.

Ditch that X299 board like I did get yourself and AMD processor with a B550 motherboard no problems


That would be a huge waste of money for little to no gain.
 
B550 would be a downgrade compared to X299.
Even the X570 would be just a sidegrade.
 
Only thing you would really gain is a slight increase in IPC
(which isn't really worth it for most X299 owners).
 
X299 also supports Windows 11

In my experience order of steps when turning on safe boot mode is important and unfortunately I couldn't find documentation by EVGA for it. I don't know is it same for Z390 as it is for X299 Dark but here are my steps for X299 Dark:
 
Disable CSM
{Boot>Security>Secure Boot>Key Management} Provision Factory Defaults: Disabled -> Enabled
Save & Exit > Save Changes & Reset (this puts ‘Secure Boot System Mode’ into ‘User’)
{Boot>Security>Secure Boot>Secure Boot Enable} Disabled -> Enabled
Save & Exit > Save Changes & Reset
 
If this doesn't help I suggest you post this question in correct sub-forum for your motherboard and call EVGA tech support.

good news as of Saturday, MS updated official supported CPU list.
 
7th Gen Intel X series CPUs are now supported

I love Windows 10 and just happened to luck out with a B550-F mobo, 5900x. I really don't see why they needed to add TPM as a measure of security to basically kill anyone's system that is older than Intel 7th gen. When most do not care about much other than using the OS to game. There is always Linux to go with if they truly don't allow older gen hardware to transition. Windows SMH

First,  nobody is killing anyone's system. Just because Win 11 will be out doesn't mean you must use it and do it immediately. Win 10 will continue to be supported until end of 2025, for another 4 years.
 
Next, speaking as someone that is / has been making a living in IT industry, you are wrong in assumption that most are using OS to game. Vast majority of PCs out there are used for productivity tasks, even by home users.
 
Even if that wasn't the case -ANYTHING- that increases security of Windows environment, -ANYTHING- that makes life of security breaches harder, is in my experience and opinion, a VERY VERY -VERY- -GOOD- thing.
 
I have both secure boot and TPM enabled on each and every one of my systems and I strongly encourage everyone to do same. Not just because they will protect themselves by doing so but also because they will raise overall security up. Otherwise they become weak link.

I have a preview version of W11 running and get the message I will kicked out in W11 flighting insiders.
I have just enabled TPM2.0 in the bios and have TPM2.0 enabled and have a listed i7 9800X cpu on the DarkX299 ??? But I still get the message I do not meet the requirements.
(Sys i7 9800X/X299Dark, Samsung SM 961 SSD, 32 GB Ram, RTX3090 GPU)

I ran the utyl to check requirements and again orange for the CPU???

If your system is not booting after enabling secure boot it might be due to partition type of your boot disk. Is it MBR or GPT? It must be GPT.

For secure boot to work CSM needs to be disabled and ReBar / 4G decoding are not relevant. Actually if you don't have video card that supports ReBar I suggest to leave it and 4G decoding at default (off).
 
Check my post #35 in this thread for documentation how I enabled secure boot. If you keep having issue I would suggest calling EVGA Tech Support.

I have enabled secure boot but looked high and low and cannot find TPM enable. TPM.MSC still says no TPM found not even 1.2. I have a very high end PC from Origin PC (a big box prebuilt PC maker in US) only 3 yrs old. Is it possible the mfg either disabled TPM in the bios or removed the chip? Why would they do that? And when I mean disabled I mean there is no option anywhere to turn TPM back on and I literally checked every single menu item so unless its very very well hidden...

And IDK what happened to Origin, it used to be  reputable company but they seem to have totally withdrawn from their support. BTW the question was asked by another user to get the official reply "ORIGIN does not currently support Windows 11" whatever the heck that means. This is a high end (>$2500) PC build company too.

It is my understanding Origin is owned by Corsair so if their tech support is no help you might want to try asking in Corsair's forums or other enthusiast forums (like reddit).

Thank you, I will give that a try. Just to confirm though, it is possible then that a manufacturer can alter a bios to their own custom programming - this is something that can be done?

It is possible that PC/motherboard manufacturer doesn't include support for certain feature in their BIOS but just because you can't find it doesn't mean that happened here, you won't know for sure until you talk with someone experienced with your particular one. If you do find that happened there might be relatively inexpensive solution. You are welcome and good luck, I hope it works out for you :)

What CPU do you have installed?  Have you updated to the latest BIOS as provided by EVGA (if the system is using a x299 Dark)?
 
The PTT Support option is found under Advanced > Trusted Computing

What CPU do you have installed?  Have you updated to the latest BIOS as provided by EVGA (if the system is using a x299 Dark)?
 
The PTT Support option is found under Advanced > Trusted Computing


OMG YOU SIR ARE A GENIUS.
 
That totally fixed the problem! Not only did it do a much-needed BIOS update, but by wiping the BIOS it wiped the custom BIOS programming and now the TPM option is available! Thank you so much.

EDIT: turns out 1.13 is a really old BIOS! I found the latest version (1.30) here, and it it allowed for TPM. yeah!!   
 
I realize this is an old post/thread. I have the same motherboard and CPU. But I cannot find the TPM setting in the BIOS. I updated the BIOS to the latest (1.13), but there is no option under Advanced for Trusted Computing or similar.
