I thought you could get a discount/promo code by running the EVGA wattage calculator but I ran it and nothing?

That being said EVGA you guys might wanna change the algoritym of the wattage calculator! Im pretty positive that a 750 watt PSU is NOT sufficient for an RTX3080,
let alone 4 ssd's & 1 or 2 HDD's and an overclocked 11900k & GPU as well. I would never even fathom an 850 watt psu for this rig (although it may work if its a good one from EVGA or similar), nothing under 1000 watt.

If anyone knows how to procure a promo code from EVGA if they are still running a similar program please let me know?

You can save 10% off of PSU's, Audio, Capture Devices, Cooling and Keyboards and Mice if you use the associate code from a member. It's a 5% discount for motherboards and 3% for graphics cards. Only thing is you can't be a member of the Associate Rewards program and also use the code. You have to decide if you want to try to get others to use your code to earn EVGA bucks over time or if you want the instant discount at checkout. Here is the information on the program EVGA - Associates Program - Home

A lot of members have a link to the the associate program at the bottom of their posts. If someone has helped you out with information on the forums or someone you like reading posts of then it's a good to help them out as you save and they earn some EVGA bucks also.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

I know there was a way to get a promo code that way a good while ago, but I think it seems to be discontinued now, as hoggle mentioned, an associate code would be a good option now instead, and at the moment, I don't know of a way to get any other form of promo codes.

As for the Power caculator, I wouldn't count on it being a good way to find how much power you need, at least not right now, that said, I might be overestimating how much power is really needed myself, I haven't run a system with a power supply that wasn't overkill at least a bit.

Yeah thanks the responses guys. So I'm already signed up for all the EVGA programs, unfortunately I don't have any one to give my code to (it never gets used).
So you are saying I can't get the discount from someone else's code if I've previously signed up for an affiliate code???

If true That sucks, I wasnt aware of that

As far as the EVGA power calculator goes I don't need the advice or help from the estimator lol, I know much power I want/need. I'm gonna sell my 1300 watt G2 and get a newer one. I just mentioned they should fix the algorithm for noobs, their is gonna be tons of noobs buying a 3080 and a 750 watt PSU because of EVGA's power meter advice then their is gonna be hundreds of more threads of customers wondering why their PC's are shutting down and various other issues.

An affiliate can not use another affiliates code. EVGA does not allow doubling down on the benefits of affiliate program.

To get others to use our code, you can post it in your signature or share it on other social media, and someone will eventually use it.

The other way to use someone else’s code is to cancel your affiliate membership, but be aware that once it is cancelled the member can never re-join.
