I just bought a new Asus pre-built s300ma. It came with a standard 200watt power supply and I bought a evga 550b5 modular power supply so I could add my evga 1660 super to the system. My question is this: The stock 200 watt supply only connects to the motherboards 24 pin connector with 20 pins. Is it OK when I connect the new power supply that I connect the entire 24 pin ps cable to the motherboard? The system is an i5 10400 16 gb ram & a 512 nvme. I'm just wanting to add the 550 ps & new 1660 super.

If you can plug in the entire 24 pins it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm sorry I was unclear. The motherboard has a standard 24pin connector. The pc comes with a standard 200watt power supply but the ps cable only uses 20 pins to connect to the mb 24 pin socket.

Read here where it says "You can plug a 20 pin ATX power cable into a motherboard with a 24 pin ATX connector" and what else is mentioned there..You can also plug a 24-pin ATX  motherboard connector into a 20-pin socket.
