Hey need some assistance.

Yesterday I tried to update the vbios for this card due to an article I read here in the forums.
https://forums.evga.com/EVGA-GeForce-RTX-2080-Ti-2080-XCXC-Ultra-BIOS-Update-m2858793.aspx

I read hastily and downloaded the Black vbios for 11G-P4-2282-KR downloaded and ran the program and missed the last **82 and noticed my part was **81. I assumed there was only 1 BLACK card they made for the 2080ti not 2 apparently.

Either way I am afraid to restart my computer now in fear it will be bricked.

Is there a way to revert the cached task to push the new vbios upon reboot with nvflash? Computer is still running fine but instructions on article say once reboot is performed vbios will be pushed.

What is best method of attack here as I would hate to tear down my waterloop to ship off my card for RMA. ( The vbios was from an admin here at EVGA not aftermarket or another vendor then card just wrong model. )

Thanks,

-Bizzy

Your card isn’t going to brick from running that vbios. Go ahead and restart.

Will I need to update the vbios again back to default or you think it will just fail?

I’m thinking it didn’t even flash since the update came from evga.

Ok I rebooted and seems like it never pushed the vbios, crisis adverted! I will read more slowly next time lol.
