I am in a situation where I may end up getting 4 cards. I currently have the 3070 Ti, box has already been opened.

I am on the list for 3 other cards, which I have respectful positions in the queue. I do not intend to resell these cards if I get them and have already made it known that I am willing to give these cards to fellow long time forum members who failed to receive a card due to the current situation. I want one particular card, and will be happy to only get it and not the others.

If I get the notice for the 3080 Ti XC3 HC before the other cards, I will end up using it. If I subsequently get the notification for the 3080 Ti FTW3 HC, I will replace the XC3. I am building a 2 pc streaming set up, where I need two cards. My question is this:

If I then go to sell the 3080 Ti XC3 HC... should I morally ask for the market rate for the card? OR should I ask what I paid for it? This is assuming that the people that I have offered the cards to for cost, decline the offer.

Put the card up for auction at msrp with 30 day returns.. The ebay market will determine the final price.

That would be up to you, honestly I would personally go with what I paid for them and before a sale I would ensure they would not be a scalper.

I generally consider myself a moral person, so the thought of asking for more than I paid is reprehensible to me given the current situation and how I would feel if I were the other person.

Yeah, I am already trying to think of a ways to prove that the person hasn't already bought a card, is on the queue for a card (with a great timing) and etc.

Just, I am not looking to make someone else money if they turn around and scalp. This falls out the window though if the people on the forums decline the offer, as I am at least crediting them as more trustworthy than randoms on Ebay or etc... If I have to go the Ebay route.... I might set it for MSRP and have it auctioned off... I don't know.

Just decline the purchase and it will go to the next person in line.

^^ yup if you really don't want it or are going to sell for MSRP you might as well not buy it after you get the GPUs u want and leave it for other people in line.
