I flipped the little switch on the card over to OC and nothing happened. I was under the impression that it turned on a fan curve that allowed the fans to come on when the computer boots? My fans don't spin...I have to open up Precision X1 to get them going. Am I doing something wrong? I previously had a custom fan curve with Precision X1 but I unclicked the "Fan Curve Control" button and hit apply and save...

Did your vbios version change when you moved the switch? You can see your vbios version with gpu-z.

You did reboot after flipping the switch?

Yeah I shut down the computer. Flipped the switch and turned it back on. The BIOS version via GPU-Z is 94.02.26.80.9C

Yep, I believe that is the correct vbios for the oc position.

Well thats a bummer that the stock fan curve doesn't work. Guess I'll just continue using a custom.

So I restarted the computer instead of shutting it down and the fans are spinning. Weird, but its working now. Thanks!

I was about to say that's just plain wonky cuz OC BIOS is supposed to have a minimum fan speed, whereas Normal BIOS has 0 RPM mode enabled where the fans stay off until the card hits a certain temp.

Honestly I prefer having 0 RPM mode, so I just flipped to OC BIOS & setup a custom fan curve, 0% fan speed below 30C, then it steps up from there... and since my card idles in Windows at 25-29C, the fans are pretty much never active unless I'm gaming.

Odd that a reboot fixed it, maybe it's one of those weird Windows 10 things where shutting down effects the OS & programs differently than a reboot does.
