Game Ready for NVIDIA Reflex Support for ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ and ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’
Our latest GeForce Game Ready driver provides support for NVIDIA Reflex in the blockbuster titles, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone, as well as offers the best experience in Star Wars: Squadrons. The new Game Ready Driver also improves stability in certain games on RTX 30 Series GPUs.

Judging from the notes, it looks like a hotfix for the 3090 issues that we're seeing is still on the way (but hopefully some are fixed!). It looks like most of the issues for the 3090 are resolved with these drivers. Probably for the 3080 as well!

Fixed Issues in this Release:
[Omniverse 2020.2.4496]: Corruption occurs after switching from RTX Real-Time to RTX PathTraced renderer.[200649160]
[Vulkan games]: The GeForce Experience> Performance > Render Latency setting sometimes sticks at 0 on Vulkan games. [3129618]
Multiple G-SYNC Compatible monitors were removed from the G-SYNC Compatible list in the driver. [3130059]
There is a slight increase in the Windows Event Log CPU utilization. [200659659]
NVIDIA Container service may crash upon resume from system sleep /hibernate mode. [200658281]
[Notebook]: Performance Power Mode cannot be set from the NVIDIA Control Panel. [200657525]

Nvidia Reflex sound awesome.. but I cant see going back to a 1080 screen just to one of their new 360hz 1080 screens to use it.

They planning a 1440 screen soon?

I thought Reflex was resolution agnostic? Sad if not the case - I will never game on my main rig below 4K res.

Hmm - google fu and found some monitors that display latency (in an OSD) as their gimmick - is that what you are referring to?

Would think.. hope I'm wrong reading all the literature on nvidia's site.. like why not some plug in play device before the display?

Lots of folks on Reddit saying their crashing issues are gone, across multiple titles. Seems like this driver has fixed the wonky GPU boost behavior.

Thanks for the heads up! I was reading the Nvidia forum for this release and a few people have been reporting wonky behavior still. It is all a numbers game. So it seems this update is the solution and any other wonky problems might be "PICNIC" related.

Agree instead of forcing a whole new screen and I didn't see them say anything about high Hz 4K panels since you usually see this high refresh rates with 1080p panels usually.  Would be a bummer but than again, what GPU on this planet can do 4K 360hz?  None AFAIK! lol

I can confirm GRD 456.55 fixed my issues. Previously, I had to set a power target paired with Studio Drivers for stability. Stock drivers and nothing special in PX1 works fine now. I even got an FPS boost somehow in some games.

Cool beans. Sounds like something was wonky with GPU voltages and how they were working with GPU boost.

Since we are talking metrics: what are your temps like with the new driver? I know you have a 3090 FTW3 Ultra.

After hammering 3DMark for a bit to heat everything to a stable state about an hour ago:
Auto fan curve: I was flat 75*C with some spiking to 81 for a micro second via ICX hawkeyeing. I didn't pay attention to fan speed during the auto.
Custom fan curve: 83% Fan @ 75*C and it didn't really budge much. I have it set to be 80% @ 70C and 100% at 90, so a 1:1 temp to % ratio after 70*C. Anything under that is 50% fan and 30% at its lowest.
    100% fan usage: I never broke 72*C.
Idle I am at 36*C @ 30% fan usage (un hearable for me).

My room is about 84*F atm, but my case is running 6 Noctuas. I get plenty of clean air in and out.

Wow 84f! Time for an air conditioning! Find a cooler room. Basement would be a perfect choice. but guessing it's not an option.

84 degrees F? That’s toasty lol. Seems like the cooler performs pretty well overall.

I’m glad Nvidia quickly fixed these issues with the driver. Just another reason I will never consider buying anything other than Nvidia. The driver support is always good, some stuff just takes a bit of time to fix.

I currently don't have the AC on because the wife has been extra cold lately. I just have the heat set to 80. Outside right now is 86 so nothing is moving. My office is also the farthest room in our apartment from the central ac. By the time it reaches this far, the air is a light breeze :(. I basically never feel it in here. I have an air purifier running at highest as my "room fan". AC works perfectly fine everywhere else though :\

:/ I guess time to buy your wife a nice new furry house coat and matching slippers! Hehe..

Room AC! Go the room to 65f! Hehe

Min maybe try a box fan to pull the heat out of the room as its prob just gets hotter and hotter and the heat wont circulate as the furnace isn't running to exchange the air.

Yes, I was going to make a joke that these new drivers will be perfect for the 7 people who actually got a card so far.... Bots resellers don't need drivers.

Nvidia Reflex sound awesome.. but I cant see going back to a 1080 screen just to one of their new 360hz 1080 screens to use it.

They planning a 1440 screen soon?

I've read the white paper on NVIDIA Reflex. It's actually two technologies. They aren't dependent upon each other.

    1. The reflex technology that's built into their monitors (as of right now, you need one of the 360hz monitors)
    2. The hardware optimization that reduces latency between the GPU and CPU. (anyone with a 980 or newer and COD can use this to reduce latency)

My 3090 FTW3 Ultra isn't crashing when it runs at 2085MHz (when the power limit allows it to run that fast - usually ~1950MHz)

This is my current issue. I know I said everything was fine, but after breaking things in I can't get it to draw the voltage needed to swing that hard anymore. Breaking in the new drivers I can't get it to break 1950 consistently like I was with the 456.38 Studio. Some games I can do my 2065 no problem, others just will not let me do it. 3DMark 100% refuses now to go past 1950.

It's a combination of power draw, temperature, and voltage.

For example, I've pulling 440 or so watts while in Superposition. 62C, ~1950MHz.

In Mafia Remastered, I'm pulling 320 or so watts, 71C (auto OC VBIOS fan curve) and 2070Mhz capped at 60 FPS.

We are very limited by power draw, and don't see the top overclocked frequency because of it. If we could put these under water, you'd see a much more stable, higher frequency with all the same settings.

Latest drivers seem stable for me.

Thanks for the clarification. Stop being so awesome. The temps are perfectly reasonable considering how thicc and powerful it is. I can't wait for the hybrid kit (they better release it standalone ).

Getting crashes with Assassin's Creed Origins/Odyssey. Mafia Remastered is fine, so is Crysis Remastered.

AC Odyssey runs fine for me @2+ GHz. It could be a CPU issue I think Odyssey can use the AVX instruction set if your CPU supports it.

So I have seen improved stability since installing this driver, however I also upgraded my PSU to a 850W from a 650W the same day so either could be a contributing factor. I have also been encountering a bug where my displays go dark and then come back with their Windows configuration settings reset which is VERY frustrating.

PCWorld discusses this and concluded there was a slight declock. Nvidia “corrected” them to say they didn’t declock. They just changed the performance curve slightly (which apparently has a similar effect). It’s not a huge effect but it did shave a couple of fps off the performance of the test card.

Got to wonder how many boards wouldn’t have needed rework to install MLCCs had Nvidia just properly tested before Jensen’s big paper reveal.
