Hi all!

I have a problem running games on my EVGA 1060 SC 3GB graphics card.
PROBLEM: screen freeze, soundloop or buzzing - no BSOD, nothing in EventCenter. PC frozen to death. Happened on desktop or during playing games (WoT, WatchDogs1/2)

Was running all kind of tests (memory, cpu stress) - everything worked like a charm. Finally got my PSU to a buddy who checked it and told me to buy a new one (smth could be bad with it, strange noise on one component - it was quite old Chieftec 450W) so I got a brand new PSU (600W). Crashes stopped for few days, now are back on but slightly different. Did DDU + install fresh Nvidia drivers (newest from site).
PROBLEM: screen freeze, blackscreen - can go to desktop/taskmanager - so PC isnt frozen to death. WoT gave me ONCE a message, that my graphic driver crashed and need to restart the game.

Is my GPU dying? What can be done to fix/check my GPU or is there a way to send it to EVGA for fixing?
Bought in december 2016, havent OC/mining - playing games from time to time for few hours.

Thx for any advice :)

ps. i'm quite good at PC hardware/software but don't have too much experience in GPU troubleshooting when it comes to hardware fault

PC specs: FX-6300, GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 (newest BIOS), 16GB DDR3 (2x8), SSD+2xHDD, EVGA GTX 1060 SC 3GB, W10 x64 (newest updates)

Pop the card in another known good working system to see if it acts the same way there. If it does act the same way in another known good system then you could choose to buy a new card, or you could try baking the card in the oven.

thank you for the reply... I've tried to underclock the memory (-80) on the card and it went fine for few hours of playing

I've found info that it can be done 'forever' by changing the BIOS with Nibitor and NVFlash - is it safe to try and change values there?

And as for baking the card - any sugestions whats is 'optimal' time/temp for it?

Note: Bake the card with the gpu die facing upwards instead of downwards as show.
