The photos are in fact renders spotted by momomo_us. the board will be called N7 Z490 and comes with a fairly standard layout including an ATX form-factor build, 8+4 pin EPS power connectors and a quick count reveals 12-phase VRM for the CPU as well a 5G Ethernet and AX Wifi. The board is characterized by a front shroud that covers most of the business side of the PCB, and comes either in matte black or white, blending into the design scheme NZXT uses for its cases.

    Where's the M2 slots?
     
    Would be nice if they had an insert-only way to mount them. No screw needed, kinda deal.

    I don't understand the one-big-hunk-of-plastic aesthetic, but they seem to sell, so people must like them. I mean, I guess they try to make it neater than just a circuit board, but then they make it the blandest, boring thing possible, so then what is the point?
    Put some nixie tubes in there, some big honking relays, and some giant rotary switches. That would be cool.

    ECS made the last ones. The VRM does not look like it will be cooled much by looking at it.

    Looks like NZXT has completely ignored feedback vs Z390... Overpriced, Feature Less, Plastic Wasteland basically.... at least for a Z Series Chipset.... Looking at the I/O on the board looks to be the same story sadly

    As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.

    I have to agree that it does look like just a chunk of plastic. Why even have a side window on a case if you want that as the view?
