Hi.

I would like to replace the thermal pads of my gpu. I did it with my former one and saw some good results but which one should I take for this gpu? What would be the right thickness?

Thanks

    The link is for 1080ti are those the same thickness?

    Damn those are expensive, does it worth it?

    Will it be a big difference on a 2080ti?

    Do I need to change it all or only the one on the memories and such?

    I was going to link you to that FAQ yesterday but wasn't sure if any design changes were made or not..To be sure, Contact EVGA Customer Service, or perhaps an EVGA Tech will chime in with an answer if they see your post or one is summoned.

    I'm thinking new Thermal Pad may not really be necessary and won't matter as much as changing the TIM on the GPU chip with some good stuff such as Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut (12.5 W/mk) or MX-4 (8.5 W/mK).

    If you really wanna do it up like a boss, use Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut (73 W/mk)..But that's liquid metal.

    If you want Thermal Pad, then the Fujipoly stuff is the way to go.

    I just rebuilt some 1080Ti FRW3 with these thermal pads 6 W/mK  ---->about $7 for 1/4 sheet = ARCTIC Thermal Pad 145 x 145 x xx,x mm
    (1/4 sheet is much better way to buy) - Amazon & other outlets

    I was Very happy with the temp drop & reasonable price

    Fujipoly pads that I have are very stiff (compress ability) .... unclear if they are any better under my water block than the stock EK pads*
    [*EK rated @ Thermal conductivity: 3.5 W/mK (+/-0.35)]

    They are Not better than the  ARCTIC Thermal Pad I mention above

    Yes --> stock pads are like 2 - 3 W/mK

    diminished returns --> Especially air cooled -- as the number goes up for W/mK --> price increase exponentially

    You want to set a World Record ? How fat is your wallet ?

    You want to Game 6W/mK is better than stock, & not expensive

    Thanks!

    1.5mm is ok for 2080ti too? I was considering taking the hybrid kit would I need to replace thermal pads as well?

    I do not know the thickness for your card ...[ if it is like the 1080TI FTW3 it takes 4 different thicknesses ... I know because I just rebuilt 2 cards]

    I still need to put my water Blocks on my two EVGA 2080Ti cards
