hi i have been using a G3 850w PSU for about a year and all i can say is it is ridiculously noisy.
Can this be returned for as advertised silent fan be fitted?
if not will you honour the 12 year warranty if i fit my noctua fan to it - 20 odd years of tech repairs!

"One of the G3's key changes is its 130mm HDB fan with a model number H1282412H. Unfortunately, the fan (12V, 0.35A, 2150 RPM) is controlled by an aggressive profile, so don't expect it to be quiet under taxing loads. Given this PSU's high efficiency, Super Flower could have used a more relaxed curve." - Tom's Hardware

"WARNING: This unit has no user-serviceable parts inside. Opening the casing presents a risk of electrocution and will void the product’s warranty." - EVGA

I've replaced loud/faulty PSU fans before, no biggie..Put an NF-P12 in my Seasonic unit..Can barely hear it under load..Didn't care about voiding the warranty or the "risk of electrocution" (use common sense precautions), it saved my sanity, pretty much

Give us a call 888 881 3842 or submitting a ticket on the site and we can help with a replacement. No real troubleshooting for fans unfortunately and do not recommend to open it up and repairing it yourself regardless of your experience as that has no bearing on the status of the warranty.
