What is the black edition I see it’s cheaper does this mean it’s a crapper model. I am going to be using it for 1080p 144hz flight sim and FPS gaming paired with a 9700k

    Not at all.  It comes with dual fans instead of triple fansf for cooling, no backplate and no RGBs IIRC.  Also, it might not OC as good as say the FTW3 brand.

    one of my friends has the black...she says it's damn good, actually.

    All the chips in the 2080 super lineup are the same, so you don't have to worry about getting a non-a chip.
