Install my New Thermal Grizzly M.2 SSD Cooler

Few days ago I have test benchmark for my SSD it rinse to 65c 100% full load it not too bad but in my game GTA V run Two Graphic cards Sli they both about 70c ish and I have checked my Aidi64 to monitor my SSD temp it went up 76c it throttle my SSD.. it went up and down the temp too quickly.. Ouch.. I was surprise this because my Two Sli graphics cards made more heat transfer to SSD where under the graphics cards
As you can see the M.2 SSD underneath the graphics card..

 
This morning I have received a delivery...It cost me £12.95 ($17.10) from CCL Online is cheaper.

Then Finally put back to my motherboard screw up... hate this M.2 screw is so very tiny lol...Test boot up and benchmark for SSD whoa it much change a lots...
It so easy to fix Cooler and Temperature is much better and won't go up over 75c again. It very slow rinse up and down change temps... It keep below 60c ish 
Well I recommend you all get SSD cooler for M.2

    Whatever M.2 cooler you buy make sure it doesn't interfere with your graphics cards or any other PCI-E cards.

    I always check the thick size depth of Heatsink between PCI-E 
    This SSD heatsink depth size is 0.50mm between top SSD cooler to under Graphics cards or other PCI-E cards is plenty room between about 8mm gap will not interfere.

    On my X570 chipset motherboard the M.2 slot is underneath the chipset air cover mount so M.2 heatsinks won't work.

    You're not supposed to cool NAND chips; just the controller chip. I would take the coolers back off, cut the thermal pad to about 1/4 its original size, and apply it only over the silver colored controller chip under the Samsung logo. You probably aren't cooling the NAND enough to do any serious harm, but why risk it? The NAND needs no cooling and cooling it is more likely to cause harm than good. The throttling you were experiencing was purely a controller chip cooling problem, so you should purely cool the controller chip.

    Yes, absolutely good idea if needed.
     
    My Asus board came with an SSD heatsink and thermal pad, but it's above the PCIe slots..Temp runs in the low to mid 40s during benching.

    And have notice my both graphics drop about 4c this why SSD cooler help less heat under the graphics card it about 65 to 70ish on GTV V! So I happy bunny

    Don't forget to install the latest Samsung SSD Magician Software, and update the firmware and NVMe Driver (as needed) if you haven't already done so.

    Have you considered what I said about the detriments of cooling NAND? There is no need to cool NAND. And it can cause NAND to fail. So, if there is no reason to cool it, and there is reason NOT to cool it, is it smart to cool it? I think that you should remove the thermal pads to the point that only the controller chip has contact with the thermal pad; that's the only part which can benefit from the cooling.

    80c is the temperature of the SSD controller chip. That isn't the temperature of the NAND. Cooling the controller chip is good. Have you misunderstood what I typed? Cooling the controller chip can help keep the controller chip from throttling. Cooling the NAND on the other hand, is not helpful in any way.

    Cooling the NAND is bad. You want the NAND to run warm and stay warm. As its temperature fluctuates, and as it cools down, if you suddenly transfer a large file (read or write, I can't remember) while the NAND hasn't had time to warm back up first, it can significantly reduce the life of the NAND. Like I said, have you researched what I said? I would encourage you to research it and adjust your thermal pad size.

    I don't think that there is any evidence that "hot" NAND is a cause of failure. To the contrary, there is evidence that NAND lasts longer when warm and even research has proven that it can be repaired by getting it abnormally hot. On the other hand, there is quite a bit evidence that cool NAND will fail prematurely.

    It's pretty straight-forward....

    You do what you want; I just hope your readers don't follow you and make the same mistake.

    cooling nand isn't detrimental as long as the nand stays 50 and above.   since he is using one to help with dissipation of the heat from his video to the nand, it appears likely an insulator rather than a cooler.   in his current construct,  he won't have temps below 50, even with the cooler.

    Yeah correct my SSD idle round 45ish same as before without SSD cooler it about 48c. When full load 100% usage running SSD and Two graphics running and it rinse to 60 to 65c then back idle at 50 then slow drop to 46c ish which am more happy! Without Cooler SSD it will reach very high Temp because I didn't use monitor my SSD so just found out few days ago the reason why I bought two cooler SSD to help prevent heat from graphic cards!!!

    The controller chip idling at 45 celsius and the NAND is connected to the controller chip by thermal pad and a strip of aluminum renowned for its thermal dissipation ability. This means, he is forcing his NAND to operate at the controller chip temperature. Not good. Brilliant, the NAND will fail early.

    This has really nothing about whether the heatsink and thermal pads are acting as an insulator (spoiler: they're not), this is about applying cooling to NAND when it should never have cooling applied directly to it.

    Keeping the controller chip cool: good.
    Applying thermal pad to the NAND and forcing it to not be allowed to get up to its designed operating temperature: bad.

    Convincing? You? If you believe that an aluminum heatsink and thermal pad are thermal insulators, it's gonna be pretty near impossible.
