Got a 1080 Ti FTW3 and am wondering what it is worth as I want to upgrade to the 2080 Ti.
In case it matters, I took extra good care of it (can't prove). Wore nitrile gloves when installing to keep fingerprints/oil off it. Dust it occasionally. So it's super clean.
Smoke-free, pet-free home (can't prove).
Have original box.
Also, where's the best place to sell it? eBay + PayPal fees = $$$$$.

Sell it here but good luck. I sold 2 a few weeks ago. Like pulling teeth. Wanted $600 for the 1080ti ftw3 12ghz mem speed elite and believe it finally sold for $550 shipped. The 1080ti ftw3 hybrid that was seriously barely used.. prob less then 20 hours total and like new sold for $485 shipped! I sold mine on hardforums.com. PayPal will take 2.9% + 30 cents. Sell it fast on ebay but I'm guessing the fee is like 10%. Prob more with bin. Also it's a tuff time to sell GPU's cause people now are dreaming about black Friday sales.. and scoring a 2070/2080 cheap.. or though that think.

I think the market for 1080 Ti's has about 3-6 more months until it falls to around the $300 range even for hybrids. From my travels around the interwebs and various forums there's a pretty large contingent of 1080 Ti owners who just did not think the 2080 Ti was enough of a upgrade for the cost. I'm in that group, plus a brand new spare revised AIO cooler for it, sealed in the box. I could probably get $200 or more just for the cooler.  So, more than likely this will end up being a donation to a family member when Nvidia's 7nm comes out.

I'm holding back on my purchase. I really want a card launch that can wow me over besides RTX. I only like the NVLINK memory stack option on the 2080 Ti series. I'm holding onto my two 1080 Ti FTW3's SLI for awhile longer. I might even wait until NVIDA reaches back up to a 10 series card before pulling the trigger. I have owned the best video cards on the market in the last five years. The lunch of the 1080 Ti was amazing with it's GDDR5X memory feature. It really is a kick ass card! If my cards can scale well with most games in SLI/none-SLI then I am set for awhile. Some games can still scale well with older and new hardware. Many users who own a 1080 Ti and play only FORTNITE won't be wasting money on a 2080 Ti anytime soon. Because the software scales and renders so well on so many devices.

EBAY would probably get you the most from it , minus fees & watch out for scammers.
Hardware sites would be better , if you had activity & access to the 4-sale areas

Just sold mine today for £430 delivered if that helps,didn't want to use ebay incase I got scammed.
Not bad, that's about $565 US. So with shipping, you cleared North of 5 bills for a 3 year old last gen GPU. I think I could still swing $600 for mine which runs all day undervolted 2050mhz with a spare brand new inbox AIO.

I might even dump PC "IF" the new next gen consoles can perform at 8K, 120 FPS with RTX. This certainly would be a game changer for me. Instead of dumping $1,000's on a single PC system. I'd just keep the 1080 Ti FTW's SLI setup and be done with it.

That's morally questionable and eliminates buyer protection; which is a tough sell.

Yup.. I've done that with my last 2 sales.. always.. they mention it to lower your price. Though you must be careful cause owner of the paypal can say their card was stolen and you'll lose your money and the item you sold! If money is no object to them, then it's most likely a stolen account. Willing to pay your price and express shipping.. I'd say no to gift payment. But if your working days with them on the sale cause they want a lower price.. prob safe lol.

Using PayPal gift to buy or sell goods to strangers violates the PayPal terms of service. Do so, and you place yourself at risk of losing your PayPal account. PayPal does monitor buyer and seller communication made on its platform and it does police these things.
