Phoenix Point misses its day-1 release on Xbox Game Pass for PC

Phoenix Point, Snapshot Games' XCOM-like Squad Turn-based Tactical game, has now been released on PC, releasing first on the Epic Games Store. Strangely, the game only released on Epic's Storefront, despite the promise that the game would also release on Xbox Game Pass for PC and, by extension, the Microsoft Store. 

Snapshot Games has confirmed on Twitter that Phoenix Point will not release on Xbox Game Pass for PC today, saying that they are "waiting on certification from Microsoft". "It's down to them now", Snapshot Games said on their Phoenix Point Twitter account, suggesting that the game's delay has nothing to do with them. When we reached out to Slingshot Games, they stated that they hope that the game will release on Xbox Game Pass for PC "within the next couple of days". 
 
Hopefully Microsoft can resolve this quickly.

    that timeline did not go so well, someone forgot to allow MS to "review & approve" - should have paid for the express pass
