Been looking at getting one for a while. Problem is I dont know what I want so I am looking for what y'all can recomend. I see there are Tab S2's on Ebay for like $160 atm and that might be fine, but I am of the buy once, cry once way of thinking so I am also looking at some that are more expensive like the Ipad Pro and the new tab S6. Also looking at maybe a Surface pro, but when you add in all the crap I can put together a pretty nice desktop.

I guess the most important thing is what are you wanting to run on it? Pick based on that.

If you want options, get something with Android. iOS is inherently option-limited.

I bought two Android tablets made by Chuwi. They're not the greatest but they do the job despite the Mediatek processor.

    +1 Android

    What is the Budget ?

Unless it is fairly New - with the sealed batteries being the standard - I'd avoid buying a Used tablet ..... unless it is so cheap you do not mind sending it in for service

I am leaning to Android, I did the ios for a while back int he day and I hated how you had to bloody sign in like 5 times to do anything, not sure if anything has changed but that soured me on Apple. A Surface pro would be ideal I think, more or less a tablet that can be a full on laptop of needed. seems a little heavy for a tablet but atleast I can use windows stuff with it rather then have to use the app store. I am just not sure if I want to pay for it though

At the moment I am just seeing what is out there and what people recommend, not sure I will even bother getting one

Unfortunately you cant buy them new but i recommend an Nvidia shield tablet. it is awesome little tablet i found one for a $150 w game controller and cover. its great for streaming media (apps) or games on home network at 4k 30 hz mini hdmi out and you can take it with you. Good luck new toys are always fun

I just recently acquired a Samsung Tab A 10.1 from Sprint that actually has it's own line. It was a deal where we got it for free with my wife's new Note 10+. It's not a bad tablet at all... It's quick but not ultra snappy and the viewing angle could be a little better, but overall it's not bad for the price range it's in. If you are wanting something with a little more power, the Samsung Tab S3 or S4 is where i'd look.

I love my ipad.   Will get an ipad Pro but waiting so see if they come out with something new.    Amazon has a fire tablet 10 and if you wait until the holidays, you can get them dirt cheap.

In the $150-$230 range, you could find your self a iPad 6th Gen from last year on ebay.  It will be 32 GBs as the 128Gb variant usually comes at about $100 more.  The recently leased new iPad now has basically the same insides of last years.  Just a slightly bigger screen iirc.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

One question that is worth asking is what cell phone do you use? If you use an iPhone then probably you will like an iPad more but if you use an Android based phone the menu system of Android tablets will make sense.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

I have a Surface Pro and love it. My only regret is that I probably should have gone with the smaller cheaper Surface Go, but the Pro should last a long time.

I have a android now, as nice as the ipads are I think they are more on the bottom of my list. It hink though if I found a smoking hawt deal on a pro I may be tempted.
Price, id like to keep it under 600, but even that is kinda iffy. The " renewed s2 for 160 is very tempting but again, its like a 5 year old tablet. Id prefer to get a new one but if I can find a gently used used one I think id go for that as well.
