Hi all,
I just received my new Z390 Dark, and was looking through before the manual () before installing it.

I had a few questions.

Looking at pages 14, 15 and16.

Regarding the rear panel USB ports, which are the AsMedia, and which are the Intel?

Regarding the internal USB headers, which are the AsMedia, and which are the Intel?

I probably will have other questions, but let's start with those.

TIA.

Apparently, I cannot post the link to the Z390 Dark manual, but you know where to find it.

    Delirious,

I know you said you thought the back panel USB-C was through the AsMedia controller when I asked in the Windows 7 on EVGA Z390 Dark thread, are you saying that you have confirmed it is AsMedia?

    Thanks

Just an update, I have W7Ux64SP1 installed, and it works fine.

Also, I have an external nvme connected to the USB-C port, and it works, so I guess it is AsMedia.

My main issue is; not able to install IRST at all, or install W7, (using the disc I created from instructions in the other thread), on a RAID0 array. I have not tried any other RAID configuration, and do not want to. It was said RAID0 would work on this board, but just not with the custom W7 installation, I presume?

did you use that program on the link to create your installation disk?   if so, then when you go to install,  is there an option to load up the RAID drivers during the install from the z390 dark thumb drive?   What is the install telling you?  does it show a raid array or any drive to install to?  The custom setup had drivers for USB and NVME.  may not have the drivers for RAID, so you my need to locate those on the thumb drive.  all this is a work around to get windows 7 on a drive for that motherboard, not every type of scenario will be necessarily addressed.

look at the very first post.  I don't see the RAID drivers.  https://forums.mydigitall...en-threadripper.76335/

Yes, I created the install DVD per the instructions.

I had asked the author about the RAID issue, but have not received a reply.

I believe you are correct, the OS cannot install because no RAID drivers were included. But, I should be able to add them during install, using the 'add driver' option, correct?

I understand this is a hacked install, and I am not expecting miracles, just asking questions to see if it is possible, and if so, how to go about it. So, do you know which RAID drivers would be correct for this situation?

    Thanks again.
