Nice numbers Sajin, I just bought an E5-1660 V3 unlocked 8 core Haswel xeon
It is the xeon ver of that CPU. 200$
Can't wait to drop it in. Now I just need a 2080Ti to go with it.

You don't need RTX2080Ti. RTX2080 Super for 750$ is great gaming card.
Off course RTX2080Ti is ideal and I'm sure she will work great on your CPU, but RTX2080 Super Hybrid is great.

That's evidence that people with X99 could use their platform for gaming even longer.
Off course just little upgrade on EVGA X299 Dark and 10 cores Cascade Lake-X would be very cool. but if not we will survive until DDR5.

I don't game a lot anymore, I would use it mostly for folding and crunching BOINC. 2080Ti is a great GPU to crunch primegrid.
Why I bought the Radion VII, an awesome data crunching GPU. Good for BOINC Milkyway, Einstein and Seti, not too bad at folding.
I'll drop the 2080Ti in one of my systems, most likely a x99 or a z370 board.
Maybe with the e5-1660v3 at some point.

    Only Xeon I would use on my X99 board is 2687W V3, 25MB Cache, 10C/20T, 3.1GHz Base, 3.5GHz Turbo.
Maybe could reach higher numbers with some effort.
Number of cores and frequency of other Xeons much less fit for my needs.
    But yeas, I would replace Instantly i7-5820K for E5-2687W V3 or E5-2687W V4 12 Cores, 30MB Cache, 3.0GHz-3.5GHz.

These two models are only attractive for me and compatible with X99 board.
I'm not sure for memory. Probably 2666MHz would work, if not, 2133MHz is not best option.
V3 is 2133MHz, but V4 is up to 2400MHz Intel Specification, he would easier reach 2666MHz.
And if some owners of X99 with i7-5820K or i7-6800K look for some Xeon with more cores these two models are best for different kind of work.

Their price on Ebay is arround 150-200$ now used.

Not so hot because of the age of my cpu. I'll take higher fps in games than higher 3dmark scores any day.

What does a graphics test have to do with proving your CPU's performance? In the CPU charts, with the same GPU, almost all of the CPU's performance values are within 10% of each other; regardless of whether the CPU was super expensive or mainstream. Its not until some super cheap CPUs that the performance falls off of a cliff.

All you are proving is that your GPU has what it takes.

    Topic title is misleading.

Killer FPS Sajin. i am jealous just goes to show new tech is not always better. Here's what an old 4th gen does stock, so to me looks like a gpu upgrade would give me more Real world performance (FPS) then if i went to a Ryzen 9 or other cpu upgradei mean the screen shot of the Ryzen 9 with the gtx 1080 is only like 6fps different then mine. i think i would be a little bummed if i had just bought a new cpu/ mobo. Guess its time for a new gpu glad xmas is coming Having trouble getting screen shot small enough feel like a noob

Killer FPS Sajin. i am jealous just goes to show new tech is not always better. Here's what an old 4th gen does stock, so to me looks like a gpu upgrade would give me more Real world performance (FPS) then if i went to a Ryzen 9Having trouble getting screen shot small enough feel like a noob

Just upload your pic to imgur.com and then copy and paste it into the forums.

2080 Ti was at stock with my cpu @ 4.4 GHz.

So, what does it do with your daily driver settings?  This 121 FPS is on my 3900x & 2080 Ti FTW3 and my stable forever settings.  I'll see what my 3700x & 2080 Ti can pull later tonight... laundry calls.
