Hello Lets start with obvious - 4k display on a gaming laptop is a fail, it is the worst thing ive ever seen, (Deleted for Foul Language) low refresh rate and pathetic response time. Did anyone at EVGA ever wonder why all major brands use 1080p 120/144hz on their gaming machines not a (Deleted for Language used) 4k? Is there a compatible display with 120 or 144hz, that I can upgrade to? Can it even be done? I have £300 budget for get rid of that 4k disaster Thanks

Morning! To remove the EVGA display from the bezel is a complete pain in the back. The display is somehow glued on the bezel. I did a complete dismantle of my EVGA SC17 but I stopped at the display as I found is almost impossible to remove from the bezel.

did u try to downscale to 1440p in in windows, looks pretty good since many 4k displays are downscaled to 1440p and sold as 1440p,,,,i don't see any quality lose at 1440p and gaming at 1440 is much better than 4k,since I have 1070 fans run much lower and keyboard "doesn't burn" 1080 p is fail after downscaling, sharpness is lost ….. sad thing after downscaling we can not oc screen 61 hz is still max ,I wish it works as Samsung tv 4k 60 hz downscaled 144p p at 120hz

that laptop doesn't support 1440p. it goes down straight from 4k to 1080p. And it is a joke to have laptop with gtx 1080 and play on 1080p/60fps. evga have zero clue about gaming laptops thats why they didnt successed in the market.

Can confirm that the shipped 4k display supports all 16:9 resolutions between 1080p and 4k. I did the same as Kulkiet but added all the in between resolutions for better control over game performance.
