I need help. I bough 2 gtx1050 ti 1 1060 and 2 psu last mid week madness it says "FREE Standard Shipping on this item for a Limited Time" now i have to pay $211 import charges. I cant pay it, what happens if i don't pay them? How can i get all my money back? Im so stressed out please help me with what to do.

Who is trying to charge you an import fee? Is it a tariff of some sort? I'd most def contact EVGA and/or the shipper about the reason.

Its already been processed by EVGA, UPS wants me to pay them $211 for import charges which i will not pay when they come to my house and tell them to return to sender. Last time i bought a gtx 1050 ti from them i didn't have to pay a single cent to UPS. How can i get my money back?

Can i get a refund? I looked and asked for help online and saw if i don't pay the import charges and tell the UPS delivery guy to return to sender EVGA would give me my money back. I'm stressed out and feel scammed because last time I bought from them i didn't have to pay anything to UPS.

I would suggest calling EVGA directly, not using the forums. The forums is typically 90% just other end-users chatting with a few volunteer mods and once in awhile a few actual EVGA Tech employees. Your best bet is direct phone.

Never have anything shipped via UPS from the U.S. to Canada.....unless you hate money.

Please stop inferring EVGA are scamming you - taxes in the form of import charges are nothing to do with EVGA and UPS, you can blame the Canadian government for those charges. UPS are just forced to collect those monies on behalf of the Canadian government, they don't get to keep it either. The shipping itself is still free. Also note it is a holiday weekend in the US - EVGA are closed Monday, so don't expect an answer any earlier than Tuesday. Sorry it does suck when you weren't expecting it. I am guessing the reason you didn't pay last time was based on the total value of whatever is being sent - they may have a certain threshhold where they start charging the import taxes.. and since you purchased a bunch of items this time, maybe it went over that threshhold, whereas last time it was under the limit so you got away with no import tax. I'm just guessing at this though.

AlvinVergara, You may want to read up on some things: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/postal-postale/dtytx-drttx-eng.htmlIf you last purchase was under $20 or prior to July 1, 2018, you didn’t have to pay a fee. Starting July 1, 2018, you do have to pay a fee. As much as 13% for certain regions. Unfortunately this is not something EVGA can control, this is the Canadian Government. If your item has already shipped, you may be able to call EVGA tomorrow and see if they can stop the delivery, otherwise, you may have to figure out what else changed since July 1, 2018. Unfortunately, beyond the information I am able to copy and paste, I have no idea what else you can do honestly. I am still trying to find more information about the situation and exactly how much the import fees are, but I don’t know your region or how much the products you purchased cost over all.

I got another email they said "you will need to pay the brokerage fees or the packages will be considered abandoned and they will not be returned to EVGA." When it says on the store policy "Any orders returned to EVGA as undeliverable or refused will be refunded once they arrive back to EVGA." $211 MORE FOR B STOCK ITEMS WHAT A JOKE NOW THEY TRYING TO LIE TO ME Rejected or Undeliverable OrdersThe customer placing the order is responsible for supplying an accurate shipping address at the time of purchase. - EVGA will not be held liable for any packages shipped and delivered to an address, which was not accurately entered during the time of purchase.
Any orders returned to EVGA as undeliverable or refused will be refunded once they arrive back to EVGA. - Shipping fees charged to EVGA for the return of the rejected or undeliverable shipment will be deducted from the order refund.
If an order is lost in transit or if an error should occur during delivery then EVGA will process insurance with UPS on that shipment. - UPS Investigations can take up to 8 business days from the time that EVGA is notified by the customer of any delivery concerns.

Why not call them on the phone and talk to a person about it?
I think they are there today. It is not a major holiday here and if EVGA were closed for it the web site would give the hours that they are closed.
I do not see any such notice.
What that charge is a tax and I am surprised it did not warn you about it when you bought the item.
But no one here is going to help you. You are better off calling them and talk to a rep. Most of the people here are just forum members not EVGA employees

Have you "Called" EVGA Customer Service yet ?? Forget UPS , Call EVGA .. don't email or text .. Call .. explain the situation to them and ask "Them" (EVGA) to call ups and recall the package. EVGA can stop it in it's tracks , ups will tell you that you cannot because you are not the sender. I had the same type of thing tried on me by ups only my story had a jerk on the other end of the phone telling me in the most ignorant way possible ... She said .. "Well that's too bad for you because I'm in Ontario and your in Newfoundland so there's nothing you can do about it , you have to pay the bill." The funny part was it was an rma replacement from XFX , no customs charges apply , no taxes , XFX paid the shipping , but her attitude was she's going to "MAKE" me pay the bill and get a couple of hundred dollars out of me and that was that. I got her name and number and told her I would call her back in a couple of minutes. I called XFX and passed along her info  What she got next was a call from XFX recalling the shipment , they resent the order through another shipper and it arrived a week or so later , no charge. Sry to ramble on .... Call EVGA ... better to pay a restocking fee than a "Hostage Fee"

This is why I do not buy from the states unless it is shipped regular post. Ups, Fed ex, and alike all charge brokerage fees. I bought a $40 once off of amazon and when it got to my door Fed Ex wanted $56. I cannot remember exact amount but I do remember Duty was like $7 and the rest was what Fed ex charged to clear the item through customs. There are ways to clear items yourself linkI'd really just avoid the big shipping companies unless the difference in cost with fees and tax are better than buying local. Sometimes you can get a seller to ship USPS which is better because then all your paying is duty.

It isn't just the Canadian Government. UPS brokerage fees are NUTS! when shipping from U.S. to Canada. I have never had such high fees as I did with UPS, and I stopped using UPS for cross border many years ago for this reason. The only time I use UPS is if I ship to my PO box in Washington.

It is a brokerage fee. They ARE to collect taxes and duty and forward that to the government.....there is a large fee added on top to do this. With UPS if they are charging $200, I am guessing only $50-$60 is for taxes, the rest is pure brokerage fee. There should be no duty. You can self clear the package yourself (a pain) but it saves a lot of money.....because you become the broker.

PST+GST taxes on hardware I have imported are usually paid by by me at the time of purchase. That includes NewEgg and Amazon etc.
So when UPS asks for money, it should like a problem with the customs paperwork etc

I was noticing a problem with my RMA and evidently EVGA did not clearly mark the paperwork with shipping to UPS that the replacement was a warranty replacement I asked UPS to send me the paperwork so I would have a copy of what was originally used. This way I can identify where the issue is. UPS told me that the paperwork was improper, so I got back in the horn to EVGA to fix it which said they would do immediately. This tells me EVGA has to fix their RMA system to properly fill out the forms properly for UPS so Canadians are not nicked for a fist full of dollars

I was noticing a problem with my RMA and evidently EVGA did not clearly mark the paperwork with shipping to UPS that the replacement was a warranty replacement
I asked UPS to send me the paperwork so I would have a copy of what was originally used. This way I can identify where the issue is.
UPS told me that the paperwork was improper, so I got back in the horn to EVGA to fix it which said they would do immediately.
This tells me EVGA has to fix their RMA system to properly fill out the forms properly for UPS so Canadians are not nicked for a fist full of dollars
This isn’t a RMA post though. This was a B-Stock purchase.
