Received my new rma card after waiting 3 weeks to get a scuffed and scratched up card, this is my second rma card. The first one packed in, this one I have to test properly yet, but it sucks how it’s badly marked up on the GeForce logo area. My original card was in perfect condition and looked like new but sadly it black screened on me and to get back 1 faulty card and now this card being marked up is beyond a joke.

We should be getting brand new cards for replacements not damaged old crap you have lying around in your warehouses! Tempted to demand a refund or go to trading standards about this and go else where for my gpus.

To be fair, it doesn't sound like he's in the US and we all know that the EU side of things isn't so great. I'll just blame Europe as a whole for that.

You can see it kinda in the picture, looks worse in person. Yeah mate from Scotland here.

The card is running fine, and stays very cool so I guess that's a plus. I'm stuck with evga for 10 years since i have the warranty so I guess i'll just have to grind this one out. Hoping their quality control gets better as the months go on!. Paid £469 for this 1070 a few years back and to get all the crap of the day sent back to me for replacements isn't great at all.

I'm sorry that you're not pleased with the replacement, however, as stated in the RMA replacement policy:

    • All products returned to Original Purchasers or Second-Hand Purchasers from EVGA's RMA department are thoroughly tested recertified products. Replacement parts and/or Products may include new or refurbished parts or Products and are warranted only until the expiration of the original warranty period. Replacement parts and/or Products will meet the standard of performance and reliability of a new Product or part of the same model, however, such Products and/or parts may have small scratches, small dents, other cosmetic defects, or noticeable use.

Hi there Thisiswar88, have you checked to make sure the GeForce logo panel does not have a peel-off protective film covering it?
From my experience there usually is, and when you peel it off the panel is lovely and glossy underneath.

Provided the Card works as it should I dont see the issue....the tiny little scratches that are on the Card in your pic are hardly noticeable......its all about the GPU and PCB....  ;)

Trading standards won't be interested in your complaint since you have only had one RMA card crap out on you, and they won't be interested by small marks on a replacement product since providing refurbished parts is perfectly legal in both UK meaning EVGA have done nothing wrong.

However what you should look at is the consumer rights act, as you have 10 year warranty EVGA must provide either a repair, replacement or a refund. EVGA has decided to not repair your card but provide you with a replacement and as you have said one has already packed in.
EVGA have stated that replacements use refurbished parts that meet the standard of performance and reliability of a new Product or part of the same model. Even so they are still used lets not kid ourselves here. Should this second RMA card pack or have issues you are well within your rights under the CRA to request a refund if you feel these refurbished replacements are not fit for purpose. If a refund is not possible you can take the matter up with the ombudsman or if that fails the small claims court.

Also the first two years is retailer warranty and really is the only time you can realistically return an item for a new replacement

If you cross shipped and you have both cards in front of you you could just exchange the 2 coolers.
