I was going to purchase one of the Z390 boards but I saw the EVGA Z370 Classified K was on sale for $130 and I couldn't resist. I'll be using i7 9700k with it. For those who have used this board, how is it in term and reliability/performance comparing to Aus, MSI or Gigabyte board. Features don't really matter much and don't care about OC too much either. Any major issues? Thank you.

I'm running a Z370 Classified K with a i9-9900k and all appears fine at this stage. I had a 8700k in it prior to the brain transplant. You need to ensure you are running at least BIOS v1.08 (preferably v1.09) prior to dropping the 9700k in. v1.08 was the first BIOS that supported the 9th generation CPU's for this board (v1.09 was to improve stability). The VRM's seem beefy enough to support this so called "95W TDP" chip so the 9700k should be a cakewalk.

Same here have a Z370 Classified K since it was first released. Started with an 8700k and now on 9900k. Solid board. No issues ever updating the bios and runs like a dream.

If you do end up with a motherboard with an older BIOS that is not compatible with that 9700k you can contact us right away and we will assist you with an RMA.

Have either of you OC’d the 9900k? If so, what kinds of results are you getting? I’m getting a little sick of waiting for Dark. I probably still will, but I want to explore my options.

I've pumped mine up to 5GHz (all cores) on auto voltages for a test run although this failed to boot on BIOS 1.08 but did on 1.09. I'm expecting to do a bit more tinkering over the weekend.

all thats needed is the ability to Update BIOS from USB even without CPU :) like them ASUS ROGs. and as an answer to the question on how the board is... I have it my self on a secondary system, good quality board, but i would never recommend it for enthusiast overclock-er... because the board is really bad for overclocking with the lack of vdroop function

I would see temperatures and some proof of performance ...
