Black Mesa is a recreation of Half-Life with new all new assets, a project that is spearheaded by Crowbar Collective, a group of passionate Half-Life modders who have received permission from Valve to recreate the PC classic. While most of the game has already been completed, Balck Mesa remains incomplete, with the game's early access version lacking the game's "Xen" missions, which bookend the Half-Life experience with locations, enemies and bosses that are not present elsewhere in the game.

The Xen missions of Black Mesa are now set to release in Q2 2019, with major graphical tweaks being planned for the game's existing early access version next month.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I've not tried it recently as I was waiting for Xen.

Question is; do I play through now or wait for the actual release? Hmmm

I was waiting for the full release to play it. I am surprised the Xen levels took this long to come out.

    Quality over quantity I guess?

A whole re-work of the Xen level designs was sure to take a while, I'd rather they take their time and release it when it's ready than throw it out and constantly patch it. (Says the guy who loves playing Alpha games like 7Days to die...) haha

The trailer is pretty, but I am concerned about the gameplay.  The world looks extremely closed and the mission looks extremely guided.
