can i use the step up program to go from a 1070ti if i bought one newe to a 2080 or even a 2080ti or would it have to be a 2070?

    Yes, as long as evga adds the 2080/2080 ti to the step-up list within your 90 days.

    You can step to to any other card available in the step up program. Assuming they added the 2000 series cards to the pool when they launch the answer to your question is yes. You don't have to step up to only the same class card.

    You can step up to any card in the step up program. That said you might not see the 2080 in the step up program.
