I've always been a fan of EVGA, customer service has always been top notch. However, I have been staring and comparing the EVGA Classy and a few for the Asus line for almost 2 weeks now. They were all from their maximus lineup Maximus code, hero x, and max x formula. I've got a 8086k I got on sale that's going to calling one of these boards home.

Only thing that makes me hesitate on 2 of the max is you have those giant plastic blocks covering a lot of things up. Any opinions of which way to go? I'm leaning more towards the classy or the max hero x. Any input would be appreciated.

I usually read all the MB & OC reviews especially which MB Version & what CPU

If you have a favorite game check those reviews.

    Web search for know issues

---> then shop for the Best Value to resolve any ties

I would consider EVGA Support, Warranty & this Forum as Value added services

I'm leaning more towards the classy or the max hero x. Any input would be appreciated.

I also had to do a big research regarding my new Z370 board. For me there were many things to consider.
    1. Reliability and build quality
    2. VRM strenght
    3. Bios reliability and functionality
    4. Price
    5. Warranty period, and support quality in case of problems.

I started with the price, how much approximately I'm happy to pay for a MB. I set this to ~250 euro.
In this price range there are many models, but most of them are weak or with hidden problems, mostly crappy bios, overheat, audio noise during usage.
The 3 that caught my attention (having positive output in all 5 criteria) after many hours of research, VRM circuits study and youtube reviews watching were
    Asus Hero X (best bios)
    Asrock Taichi (best price)
    Gigabyte Gaming 7 (best/strongest VRM)
They have their weaknesses for sure, but overall any of them should make you happy.
EVGA was not in my short list because of the very limited availability on the EU market.
But then I saw 1 piece (limited amount) of EVGA Z370 micro sold by amazon UK, and knowing all about it already, I didn't hesitate for a moment and just ordered it.
    1. The price was great
    2. Reliability and build quality, if it follows the common EVGA standards, it should be amazing.
    3. The VRM according the analysis and the reviews of some hardcore overclockers is very very strong.
    4. BIOS reliability and functionality (here I'm not sure (no info and experience) but my hope is it will be reliable)
    5. EVGA so far wins with huge difference regarding warranty compared to all other BM manufacturers.

If you want to buy the best of the best by the way, and money are not into consideration, you can check Asus APEX (world record holder(I think it was for memory overclock)) and MSI Godlike.
