To start, I am a EVGA fan but maybe was an EVGA fan.  In March of this year I purchased a EVGA 1080SC.  Shortly after upgrading my monitor, I realized of how low the FPS I was getting(15-20 on 1440p 144hz monitor).  Did a Firestrike score and only got around 7,000 score, but should have been around 17,000.  I then requested an RMA, but learned of the step up program. I decided to upgrade to the EVGA 1080SC ti.  Received it on 7/13/18.  Installed shortly after, and what do you know, bad card again.  Graphics card kept crashing, then fans would spool up to full speed.  I began to be concerned with my set up due to 2 cards both being bad.  I tested it on 2 different systems with the same result.  The GPU only running at 55 Cel. at the time of crash.

So here I am still without a working product, EVGA just taking their time to put my replacement in a box and mailing it to me (on the 3rd day now).  So my point in my post is to first pass along my experience to those who may have questions about the quality of EVGA's products. But, my lesson is to never buy a card intending on it to work. I never once considered that I should factor months into my schedule for RMA time and turn around.  Not to mention the cost of shipping with insurance at UPS for mailing an expensive card.  I was impulsive and paid over price from B & H photo.  I paid $670 for my EVGA1080SC, then $190 for step up, plus shipping.

Never again, EVGA......

    Hello,

Thanks and welcome to the forums. It appears this was issue was handled by out CS team a few days ago. Unfortunately, we have no control over what one of our retailers decides to market the card at. We do always recommend purchasing directly from us to avoid the confusion. We do have a 1-3 business day to process and ship a replacement and that is our policy. if you have any other questions or concerns, you can always contact us via phone if you need further assistance. 1 (888) 881 - 3842
