Hard drives have been around for a long time but all of them with a single actuator. Seagate is betting on multi-actuator tech to speed up drives.

    That is as good as a mid range SSD.  Very nice!

    I want to see more of this, in a consumer's hands.

    Server use is all well and good, but I don't tend to buy server drives. Here's hoping that trickles to the rest of us.

    From someone who was in the disk drive industry back in the 80s and 90s, this is pretty darn amazing.  But, I suppose that can be said for pretty much anything that's evolved over 30 years.
