It did need a slightly more aggressive fan profile, but now it maintains loads below 65c. I'm wondering if it's a lottery winner, because it boosts to 1999 on the master BIOS and can maintain that indefinitely as long as it stays cool. I haven't tried overclocking and probably won't just because of how good this is out of the box. Everything runs buttery smooth...Should have bought one of these last year; my old 1060 6gb really wasn't up to snuff for modern titles or VR.

Looks like you got a nice card as your getting a good stock OC, with no software tweaks & on stock BIOS

Is it a lottery winner? Hard to say without knowing the max oc on the core.

Even if you don’t adjust the core frequency I’d still suggest applying a memory OC. Most cards can get between 800-1000Mhz extra out of the memory with no issue.

Just remember its x2. So if ya go +500 it's really 1000mhz more.

I could OC my FTW 1080 hybrid memory by 1000Mhz so indeed moving from 10Ghz stock to actual 12Ghz and flashing the 11Ghz BIOS seen on this forum, I could get another 200Mhz extra.insane....and free!

Huh! I thought Pascal was basically locked down and unflashable. That's pretty neat. I'll probably give it a proper OC once I get some more spare time to fiddle with and benchmark it more. The little time I do have I'm enjoying what this thing spits onto my screen/Oculus. Zero hiccups with anything.

My FTW3 boost's to 2000mhz on the o.c. bios. Have o.c. to 2088mhz, but can't add any to the memory.
