Hello,

My last x299 board failed in VRM cooling, and I am getting a refund for it. Looking in Canada I see the EVGA FTW K is available on newegg, (so is the dark) I'm wondering if anyone would like to share their experience on this board. I know there is a member here with a 7900x that had the VRM throttled () @

There is also an anandtech review on this board "We did not run into any thermal issues on the VRM on this board in stock or overclocked form. The maximum VRM temperature E-Leet read was 55C during a longer duration stress test of OCCT/" ()

Is anyone else here gotten a FTW K board who would like to share the experience?

I would like the normal ram slots compared to Asus Apex, Asrock OC Formula, and EVGA Dark. Honestly I would purchase a Taichi XE if that was available in Newegg Canada but sadly not

Your post count is too low to post links at the moment, just remove the http or www at the beginning and we can copy / open them

I have had the x299 FTW K up and running since November.  I have had NO issues with VRM overheating.

Hello, thanks for your input. If you don't mind, would you be able to share your voltage and power consumption when you tested your system for stability? Thanks in advance

VRM cooling is a problem with the i9 HCC cpu because when you overclock them they draw alot of power so the VRM get hot and throttle the cpu clock.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qYHWAnvXv8 this is a good link. Some new revision of the x299 motherboards have a better VRM heatsink design.
