Trying to overclock my new 1050 Ti SC.

My system has a screen with a resolution of 1680x1050 and the latest GeForce drivers.

I tried FurMark with the following settings:
1680x1050, 8x MSAA, Dynamic background, Burn-in, Xtreme burn-in and Post-FX
which in my surprise didn't result in the highest boost clocks.

What makes the card run in higher frequencies is Folding@Home, so that's what I am using while making my tests.

Here is a screenshot from XOC:

And here are my questions:
  1. Does the voltage slider makes any difference? I don't see the voltage changing while moving the slider (and hitting apply). Actually, before applying OC settings I think the voltage was constantly a little higher that 1.1V, but now it is around 1.000 V most of the time and rarely surpasses that value.
  2. I see screenshots with the power limit set over 100%. In my case I can't set it over a 100%. Is this because of the card model or is it something else?

And here is a screenshot of another XOC tab:

When I applied my OC settings the green broken line appeared. Should I tweak anything here in order for voltage settings to take effect?

And a last question:

Are these fluctuations of the power limit normal? Are they caused by the way Folding@Home utilizes the GPU, by the way the GPU is programmed to work or is it something else that causes them?

Thanks for your time reading my post!

    1. The voltage slider will allow the card to draw more power if needed.
    2. Yes.
    3. Yes, the fluctuations on the power limit is normal.

First, of all thanks for the reply!

Well, how does the voltage settings work exactly?
Which is the highest voltage possible? And which of the two settings has the highest priority? The slider in the first tab or the diagram in the second?

From what I recall you can't set the voltage using precision. You'll need to use msi afterburner if you want to set the voltage to a specific range. Not sure what the max voltage for the 1050 ti is, but for 1080 ti's it's 1.093v. The voltage slider & the voltage/frequency curve work hand in hand, so if you wanted to set your voltage to max you would need to adjust the voltage slider to max, and then set the voltage to 1.093v inside the voltage/frequency curve editor.
