The error is most likely being caused by your ram speed. Anything over 2666 MHz on the 8700k is considered an overclock. As you know overclocks can cause instability & errors. Run your ram at 2666 MHz if you continue to see the error.

But from what i know cpu 8700k must work stable with guaranteed 3000mhz XMP memory rated.

    Pc:
    9900K 5ghz ( llc level 5 idle 1.34-1.35v,load 1.313-323v)
    2x16GB DDR4 GSKILL 3000mhz

Intel doesn't support anything over 2666 MHz.

Because not all imc's (integrated memory controllers) are created equal.

I'm sure it'll pop up again sooner or later again if you keep running your ram at 3000 MHz.

Yes, set your ram to 2666 MHz in the bios along with the correct timings and voltage.

    Hey update. Listen please.

I updated Win 10 build to 16299.192 and next to 16299.214 build no WHEA-LOGGERS.

Any ideas why on 16299.15 was getting WHEA?

    I was thinking about this:
     i had 390.65 drivers (
GeForce 390.65 WHQL (with security fixes for Meltdown and Spectre )

On old system 16299.15 ( before meltdown spectre ) hmm ?

    Pc:
    9900K 5ghz ( llc level 5 idle 1.34-1.35v,load 1.313-323v)

WHEA errors are only produced when a hardware error occurs. Windows had nothing to do with it.

Instability can happen at any time if you aren't 100% stable. Looks like you been on the stable side thus far.

I am 2 weeks on 16299.214 build and no single WHEA-LOGGER warning.  So if i am unstable why in 2 weeks nothing showed in event viewer?

Try updating to the latest chipset drivers: https://www.asus.com/us/M...ING/HelpDesk_Download/

Also, ensure that you truly are at stock clock and voltage, and that you didn't accidentally enable the "Performance" profile in your ASUS motherboard as it turns on an automatic overclock for your CPU.

I havent seen any affects that might be caused from this like BSODS or freezing. All stable. Intel diagnostic tool passing. Memtest86 no errors. IHC memtest no errors. Either way should i be concerned of that error or its false positive? I had this errors in 21 january 2018 too. Then they stopped until 16 march 2018. I was using Windows 10 build 16299.15 ( october 2017 release build ). And of course pc was idling ,the same. That warnings just coming from nowhere out of the blue.

I would be as it could mean your system is unstable.
