I had to turn on my Air Today, I hope the last time this year.
But I did keep my rigs running both CPU and GPU, well until it hits 85F.

Thank you, ipkha
Where are you from?
I would also like to know where OlddanIT and Howdy2you2 are, please.
I find it's so much easier to remember people when they have some geography attached to them.
And Punchy - I believe you are in Florida, but I may be wrong.

Now we'll easily pass SETI Australia

Hi Little Mermaid, I've never lived in Florida... long ago I lived in southeast Idaho.  You have been to Boise or lived there, right?  Then for many years we were near Austin, Texas, but we just moved to Olympia, Washington, where I should be able to use our computers for heating much more of the year.

I was not certain about Florida. Nice to get updated. Did you live near Austin when your team started your Crunching@EVGA thread in the WCG Forums?
I visited Idaho as a tourist and loved it. NAP2614 is a Base Camper from Boise, with whom I have e-mailed for some years. Southeast Idaho must be Blackfoot or something?
I did visit Olympia, too, a long time ago. They have a fine share of Norwegian/Scandinavian descent in Washington State. Yes, heating by computers is surely better done in Olympia than in Austin.
You get around, I must say! Is it your work that takes you places?

1st or last, we are glad you are here. H's goal this year was/is to be in the top 5. 4th will certainly be a struggle unless we get more recruits soon as there isn't a lot of wiggle room in the 4/5 positions.

he-he, soon we are family, ipkha. Would that be the SAS (Scandinavian Airline System) - I have no idea why they called it 'System'? When you go see him, give me a holler so we can have a coffee, please

Great! I'll put in a cry for help in my morning address in the Base Camp thread for what it's worth
What do you and I have in common Spongebob28?

An airline, a West Bank village on the Hudson ....
Should you happen to live in Rhode Island?

Little Mermaid, I'm with [H]ard|OCP, but yes we had a goal this year. And so far we have trounced our production from last year.

Whauw!
I bookmarked that for some closer study.
Sorry, but is [H]ard|OCP something that can be explained in a few words, cuarc001?
I live a very sheltered life over at the WCG, and my knowledge of other distributed computing projects is non existent, and maybe I don't need to know everything

Hard OCP Forum  Is a general hardware forum
and they have a distributed computing Team (sub-forum.)
Also known as the Horde, they are a powerful team full of nice people.

Thank you yodap and bill1024.
So you have a 'big brother' team/crunchingwise and they have plans for an entire year!
What decides whether you are a 'normal' Crunching@EVGA'er or a 'Hard Core' one?
Are there overlaps?

Are there overlaps? NEVER But some Team Members will leave their team to help other teams at times.
[H]ard|OCP IS NOT OUR Big Brother, they are a team we compete against. They are the enemy, all other teams are the friendly competition enemy.
This Forum and Thread is for the EVGA Team  Crunching@EVGA for the most part.
https://www.hardocp.com/ would be only for the H]ard|OCP Team and so on.

OK, so cuarc001 visits here as a friendly messenger.
And you have sort of a Base Camp way of doing things.
I just checked. The Hard Cores are at #4 The Soft Cores a decent #23.

I look at all the other teams as the friendly competition. Cancer, AIDS and EBOLA are the enemy.
We have had a long, good relationship with [H] sharing hardware and software know how.
Years ago some EVGA members used to crunch the Christmas challenge with [H] and took turns folding for them as well sometimes.
Just to say thanks for all the help they have provided over the years. Hopefully we helped them also with things we figure out.
When ever I came across good deals on hardware I let [H] in on the deals first, before letting other teams know.
That is after anyone here at EVGA picks up what they want.

Next year will be fun with [H] in the FB group 2 with us.
Should be interesting.

I studied https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2732716
in depth as well as my fishy brain allows me.
It's a complicated world. Why a we searching for other worlds, when we have one right here?
I guess you have to live it to fully understand it. But I trust I can ask questions here as needed when/if they arise.

Well, it may have been somewhat borderline ... but at the time of writing it seemed a way to distinguish
