Hi guys when ever i open precision x it takes ages to open and when it does open the precision x interface is froze for a few seconds and it shows the gpu being used at 100% and if i click on anything on the software interface the software responds with precision x has stop responding, I then get two options that i can choose, which are close the software or select please wait. If i select please wait the software starts responding as normal or if don't click on anything when the software opens and wait for a while the software eventually starts working again. It never did this before why is this happening? Is this a bug as I have made zero software or hardware changes and this software use to work.

I see I am not the only one, if a few other members could post if its happening to there systems then EVGA can look into the issue and release a fix. Thanks for the reply. I timed how long it takes for the program to open, on my PC it takes around 40 seconds.

Cpu: i5 7600
Gpu: GTX 1070
Ram: Corsair RGB Vengeance DDR4 2166mhzt
Motherboard: Asus Strix Z270F
PSU: EVGA 850 Super Nova G2
HDD: 512GB Samsung Evo SSD, 1TB, 2TB, 500GB, HDD

dan2690 the more people come here with this issue the higher the chance EVGA will release a update. Thanks for the reply, I can confirm this issue is present with two additional Pc's that I own that have EVGA cards. This is defo a BUG which EVGA needs to be aware of. 

EVGA make good hardware and have great warranty. I think most would agree.
 
But their software is plain awful. I don't think XOC has ever had an edition that just works
and doesn't contain bugs.
Better they drop software dept all together, (or get a competent team) except engineering for firmware and BIOS programing that's needed of course, but downloadable, optional software such as XOC is embarrassingly bad!
And it seems to stay that way. I don't think there will ever be an intuitive, easy to use, and most importantly fully functional bug free XOC. Yeah, that's negative, but how long have they
been at it! Still I have never ran good bug free EVGA software. Never. Maybe I'm missing something?

MSI's AB is good, but I don't think it works properly with 3 fan, ICX cards? A shame. I used AB for years and like it, it works. Am I right saying AB is not suitable for ICX 9 sensor, 3 asynchronous fan version cards such as the FTW3?

That is correct , at least at this time.

So do I, very much. I would love to have an intuitive and bug free program that has a simple interface, but also allows users to comfortably use all of excellent features that new high end cards using EVGA only ICX, and advanced fan controls allow. It should start up at the same speed as other programs on said PC, and not leave users scratching their heads wondering, "now should I enable this, disable that, ahhh what does that button do," and more. In addition the user may well do everything right, but it doesn't work as intended, leading to a bloody scalp from excessive head scratching, (It was a bug)
 
May be extreme, but I think they should scrap the current program and plan a powerful but intuitive and simple one while considering the average user. It's intimidating at first plus there are bugs which case by case may leave the user thinking they did something wrong. Currently we get frequent updates, the problem is they fix a problem and introduce another. It's like building on busted foundations, fundamentally flawed.
Now I may be totally wrong. I am no software engineer, but I've used lots of software and can quickly figure out if it's good and intuitive and bug free. I always have a slight feeling of dread when using XOC. May be I'm just daft, but I can use AB with my eyes closed pretty much and it does what I want (input). This is only my opinion, and I have no intention to rant. I have a good image of EVGA, their products, and customer service. I will absolutely purchase high end components from EVGA again. As a whole a great company. But the subpar software spoils this to some degree.

Hi, Precision X starting for me as well very slow. Have issues with auto overclock as well, full one keeps freezing after few minutes with no response, waited for couple hours the same. Short one works ok.

has several bugs. Another thing I don't like about the program is that you have to register to download it to put certain data, which is annoying and cumbersome, it seems already facebook that collects certain information, for what? I don't know... it leaves me with a lot of doubt. It's not like afterburner, you download it and install it and that's it, easy.

I just got a 1070Ti, installed XOC 6.2.3 to run the new OC process, got the auto-overclock settings, uninstalled the crashy XOC and installed Afterburner to manually enter the same offsets. It's such a shame that the XOC application is in this state.

I got the same card. What settings did you get? Mine keeps crashing on full one whatever I enter. Short one gives me only +114Mhz on Gpu.

I got a +102 Mhz offset, so I just rounded it down to 100 manually.

I wonder why the auto feature doesn't test the memory OC?

EVGA Precision is one of the worst applications I have ever used., It's slow, It looks terrible, The UI is a mess and it causes keyboard input lag for like 30 seconds after booting your PC. 
I might just not go with EVGA in the future because I just simply can't deal with using this software, I am forced to use it for a custom fan curve on my 1080 Ti FTW3.
EVGA should honestly just remake it from the ground up.
 
It's beyond repair....

when my xoc starts, it has my profiles and curves, but fan speeds are 0% and only change to "normal" after i clicked curves button. What a piece of trash program. I removed xoc with revo uninstaller. Started in failsafe mode, deleted Nvidia drivers with DDU. Then I removed my psu power from wall, pressed and hold power button for 30 sec. Then plugged it in again, and turned on. Reinstalled drivers, made a reboot. Then i installed XOC but the same thing is happening. I even removed any traces of files and data on c:\programfiles blabla and on regedit.
I now dont want to use this piece of trash. EVER! 
standard fan curves for me from now on.
Never XOC AGAIN!
