EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 fan replacement

incriminati New Member Total Posts : 45 Reward points : 0 Joined: 2/23/2010 Location: Colorado Springs, CO Status: offline Ribbons : 0 Monday, October 30, 2017 7:39 PM (permalink) Recently my PC has been making this rattling sound and I narrowed it down to one of the fans on my GPU so I tried tightening up the screws for the fan and it stopped for a day and then started happening again the next day. It's getting really annoying and only happens when the fan is spinning at around 10-20% and it gets really loud while I'm watching movies/shows but doesn't happen when I increase the fan speed past 50%. I was wondering if there was a way to get a fan replacement besides sending it in or should I just try and grease up the fan so it stops rattling. RMA past the first 30 days and you'll receive a recertified card. My solution to the problem... #1 Ask evga for a cross-ship rma. #2 Swap the coolers when the other card arrives. #3 Send the rma card back with your cooler on it. I probably won't RMA just because I was gonna install a waterblock on it around Jan and I was looking for a temp fix.
