Unfortunately, I had 1 of my 2 EVGA 980TI FTW die on me and it is being replaced with a 1080 FTW. I built this new rig and purchased the two cards at the same time. of course, I cannot run the 1080 and 980 cards in SLI without suffering major performance loss.   I did check the box that states,  my setup was in SLI configuration when I completed the RMA. I am happy to have the new card, but this leaves me in a bit of a bind.
 
What can be done to rectify this issue? Will EVGA swap the other card? Will I be unable to use my setup as I always have?

Thanks. They are sending me one-card for the 980TI that I have already sent to them. 
 
I still have the 2nd 980TI, which is the one I am wondering what I/they can do with since I cannot use it in SLI as I was.

No, I don't have that at all. Almost as if they completely neglected that this was a SLI setup.
Only UPS i received was for the one I already sent back.
 
I need to call them and inform them of the situation again because per the RMA info, they were only sending one instead of two.
