I had a Dell 30' monitor, which I bought when it first came out. I had read it had some issues initially with coming on upon boot, maybe related to the USB, no idea now. So many multi on offs later, and 2 computers since then, I splurged and bought a new monitor so I could be done with the monitor not booting. Well guess what, the new monitor has the same issue with the computer I currently run. I have NO idea what the issue is, although it is harder to get it to turn on than it was...monitor is on just doesn't show the boot screen and so forth....
This is the 2nd or 3rd computer the issue has happened with.
2nd monitor
New cables
Many video cards
Different motherboards

Anyone have a pointer for me? Very frustrated.

Sounds like you have very bad luck.

What monitor do you own? What are your full system specs?

Didn't know if you were still using the hardware listed in your sig since you said you've been through multiple computers. Your monitor isn't listed in your sig.

What really bugs me is different computers, video cards, and motherboards give the same issue.

What really bugs me is different computers, video cards, and motherboards give the same issue.

When that happens you have to take it to the lowest common piece of hardware between them all. What type of hookup are you using to go from the g-card to the monitor? How old is the line that your using for that connection? Whats the make and model of the new monitor? Have you checked the monitor, on another pc/laptop if possible, in another room on the other side of the house? Were the other two pc's custom builds? If so what parts went to the new builds from the last builds?
