    What OS Version?
    What Driver Version?
    What Graphics Card?
I just tested 4 rigs all seem fine on 980 1080 and 1080 Ti Graphics Cards.
Are you running your Graphics Card at Stock Settings?

Set your Motherboard to the Default or Optimized Settings and set only the GPU fan to 60% NO Overclocking CPU Memory or GPU.
See if GOW4 will run now.

ok ,I just played it....10 minutes or so of gameplay , plus a few cutscenes , messed in the customization screens a bit & ran the benchmark., went back to game,..etc...

    NO problems what so ever  - I'm on a 1080 Ti FTW3 , using 382.05 driver in Win 10 Pro x64

** Freezing then rebooting,  'sounds' like an overheat problem of one of your components ...
**  2)nd  guess would be memory stick / timings wrong or going bad
    ** 3rd , driver or program corruption
    ** 4th - power supply issue.

Those are what I would start checking, if it was me.  Good luck

That game had a problem with the 1080 Ti and certain drivers. Its been fixed now. You MIGHT be running on those drivers that had the problem. I cant remember what exact version numbers they happened to be. Update to the latest ones and hope fully it will fix the issue. It should.

378.78 was the bad driver and Driver 378.92 fix it.
But Patch 9.9.0.2 corrected the issues.

installed the latest drivers and I got past the startup screen and was able to play for about 20 min before it crashed. at least it didn't reboot my pc this time. I'm guessing [like bc said above] it my cpu OC at 5ghz. not sure why it would do this since all other games/benchmarks seem to run just fine. gpu OC is a mild +40 +60

The newest Afterburner with RivaTuner will let you do that now in Windows store games. The graphics are pretty sweet with this game on Ultra. So no surprise the overclocks might be unstable.

The game has some issues that often require reinstalls - which suck to re-download the 80+ gb.
Sadly the only thing ive found that works is reinstalling the game till it works.

First time through I got to Act 4 and then the game would crash. Had to reinstall it twice to fix the issue.

Second play through on the hardest difficulty the game would crash in Act 2 during a cinematic - every time, had to reinstall it three times to get it to work.
Since then its been working fine without issues, even with the 20+ gb patch they did a few months back.

act 2 is where its crashing for me as well. the scene where the roof tiles start to get blown off and wham! I'm back to desktop. oddly enough though, I can still run the benchmark without issue at 5ghz

Pricey. Yep but worth every single penny. Best controller on the market today. Nothing else comes close. I got mine last holiday though for $99 through a Gamestop promo. They took $50 off if you traded in a regular Xbox One controller and was buying a new Elite controller. I still would have gladly paid the $149. The build quality is top notch and feels so comfortable in your hands. I was in the camp people are NUTS to pay that type of money for a single controller. That changed when I actually got one myself. I cant say enough about it.
