The 1070 has Been out for almost a year and it is still over $400. Where is the $345 price nvidia promised us last year ?

NVIDIA Promised that EVGA Graphics Cards would cost $345? Do you have a webpage link saying this? Also EVGA has Three GTX 1070 Graphics Cards under $400.

I checked and I got the price wrong it was $379. But it is still a year later and not even close to the msrp nvidia promised us.

You still have not posted a link for your Claim, so you are only posting hearsay and rumors. This also needs to be an official NVIDIA Statement and not a 2nd or 3rd party hearsay or rumor.

It kind of sucks that NVIDIA doesn't have much of a reason to drop the prices on their cards. AMD hasn't been putting much pressure on them this past year.

It's because they have no problems selling the cards at that price, and that there's not much out there that can compete with it. Once Vega comes out and offers significant improvements, then they can drop the prices. For now, there's no rush. You're better off searching for B-stock to save money.

is this what OP was looking for? just playback the 10x0 launch event on youtube. Pretty solid MSRP $379 at launch but it was just a recommended price, not set price.

Looks like Newegg is selling a ACX version for $385 with a $20 dollar mail in rebate www .newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814487249. Not bad, a 1070 for $366.
