That is great. They should be putting this through the ringer for popular games.

is actually quite good for mini itx builds. but it does get unusually loud (1070 FE).

I will bet that at least one will "catch on fire". That's just what electronics do. Video cards have been "catching on fire" unexpectedly for decades.

    ASRock Z77 • Intel Core i7 3770K • EVGA GTX 1080 • Samsung 850 Pro • Seasonic PRIME 600W Titanium
    My EVGA Score: 1546 • Zero Associates Points • I don't shill

Looking through geforce forums on nvidia right now. Evidently its been happening for years with all of their electronics.

Hopefully there will be firm ETAs announced for custom cooler editions this weekend. If it will be "somewhere in the april" then maybe forced to go with this leafblower edition and wait for hybrid kit.

These are just the Founder's reviews so you know that overclocked cards will scale even higher. This is a great card series.

    Im impressed.

but, is it worth it over 1080 if you already have one?

seems like if you're at 1080p, no, not quite worth the upgrade.  but higher resolutions it's def worth it!

That depends on many factors. If you can step up, yes! If you can sell the 1080 for enough to warrant the extra cost to purchase the TI. than yes.

Then there is the fact that this looks to do a much better job at higher resolutions and settings for a handful of games. That tells me this GPU has a good 2-3 year live cycle for the masses (Most run 1080p still). Or at least until the next time a GPU has a 50%+ gain over the TI....

If people are considering buying a 1080 just to step up to a 1080ti, no, that is a waste and they should just buy the ti directly and save themself the trouble with paying shipping 3 separate times. Buy it once, pay shipping once.

Buy for the purpose of step up, pay shipping to get first card, pay shipping to send it back for step up, pay step up cost from original card to new card, pay shipping to have step up sent to you.. that is a waste.

Agreed. 2K and 4K resolution monitor users will benefit.

Outdated before it even comes out.  Nvidia just killing it in the gpu department. They will have an answer every time AMD tries to bring out something decent.

Dang I want to see 3440x1440 BF1 benches. It is kinda lame when u see a bench and it's posted @ 1440 and you have to guess if it is the superior resolution.
