SR-2 memory problem

Hello,
I have a problem with my SR-2 not recognizing all the ram.
I've searched and I've tried all the obvious solutions eg. re-seating the ram, re-seating the cpu's.
I have 12 sticks of 2gb ddr3 1600mhz ram. The problem is intermittent.
It seems as though the first 1-2 slots in the memory blocks are not working. Is that possible ?
Could there be a break in the motherboard circuit ?
Another weird thing is that the EVGA E-LEET app detects all the ram, when the bios does not.
Has anyone had problems like this ?

         I had a similar problem. SR-2 with 6 mem sticks for a total of 12gigs. Intermittently one mem would drop out and at times 2 drop outs leaving me with only 8gigs. All mem showed up in Eleet but not in bios or windows. I tried all the tricks. To name a few; swaping mem positions, play with mobo mounting screw tightness, and cpu cooler mounting screws adjusting from loose to tighter quarter turn at a time. FAIL. 
         Besides the problem I wanted to increase my memory from 12gigs to 24gigs so I did and what do you know problem went away. Apparently two of my mem sticks were going bad.
     Edit: If possible try another set of memory

    This is driving me nuts. Now I am running into the board not even booting with an 08 EA error message on the board. When I can get it working it's was only seeing 4gb then now 2gb (1 stick). I have previously tried swapping the cpu's around and checking for bent pins, which I do not have.
     
    Please. Anyone with any ideas post them here !
     
    ELEET sees all my ram (currently 20gb), but bios and windows only sees 2gb.
     
    BIOS issue ? (why would it start happening after years?)
    RAM failing ? (possible?)
    some memory controller on the board (I hope not!)?

    Further. debugging my just placing a stick of ram in the #1 slot does not work. That's when I get the 08 EA error.(could all my ram just die? is that even possible?)

    but WHY does EVGA E-LEET SEE ALL MY RAM !!!!! Arghhhh !!!!
    If E-LEET sees the ram, could it be a bios version problem ? Or a windows corruption thing ?

    use other ram latency settings
    if it dont work test other memory modules.
    i have similar problem with a dual xeon 56xx supermicro board.  i swapped all memorymodules then it work ok.  

    2x EVGA SR-2 with X5690, 48/96GB RAM.
    1x intel Platinum 48core system with 9GPUS, 192GB ram all cpus\gpus watercooled 
    2x AMDThreadripper builds with 48GB ram,nvme raid.
